The Italy on a Budget tour leaders are most of them raised and born in Italy for you to have the real Italian experience but don't worry, they are all fully fluent in English! The aim of the group leader is to help you have the best trip possible. Your leader takes care of logistics, will provide information on the places you are travelling through, offer suggestions for things to do and see and recommend great local eating venues. While not being guides in the traditional sense, you can expect them to have a broad general knowledge of the places visited on the trip, including historical, cultural and social aspects.

Welcome to the vibrant city of Milan, a global hub for fashion and design. After checking into our accommodation, you'll meet your tour leader and fellow travellers at 3:00pm. We'll then embark on a journey through the city's rich history, starting with the awe-inspiring Duomo. We'll also visit the elegant Vittorio Emanuele II's gallery, the world-renowned La Scala opera house, and the medieval Castello Sforzesco. Our day concludes in the lively Navigli district, where we'll partake in the city's cherished aperitivo tradition.

On the second day, we'll take a local train to Como, a city nestled on the shores of the enchanting Lake Como. After exploring Como's historical monuments and breathtaking sights, we'll board a ferry to Bellagio, a charming village perched on a hilly promontory. Here, you can unwind and soak in the stunning views, visit gardens, or explore classy boutiques. Our next stop is Varenna, a picturesque village known for its old fishermen's houses. Enjoy a refreshing gelato or cold drink while admiring the spectacular views before we return to Milan in the evening.

On the final day of our tour, we'll check out of our accommodation at 10:00am. However, you're free to spend the rest of the day exploring Milan at your leisure. We recommend a visit to the roof of Milan's Duomo for a panoramic view of the city and the distant mountains. Alternatively, you can indulge in some retail therapy in Italy's fashion capital before your departure.
