We saw the Pompeii part of the tour and our guide was very knowledgable, fun, and animated. We had a group of 4 and the guide and got to see so much of Pompeii and she answered any questions that we had. It was top notch and I certainly would recommend it again. Bring shoes for walking since the streets are very cobblestoney.

Without a doubt this is one of the best tours we've had in Europe. The guide was personable, extremely knowledgeable and very patient with our questions. Being in a small group gave us the opportunity to take our time through the tour and absorb all that we were seeing and hearing. If you're a fan of Rick Steves, it's clear why he recommends Mondo tours.

My family of 6 went on an all day tour of these historic sites, and we also had a great Naples pizza lunch. Our Mondo Guide, Francesco, was just fabulous! He was fun to talk to, extremely knowledgeable, and seemed to be truly enthusiastic about all the history at these sites and around Naples. We had a wonderful day due to Francesco. Also, we were driven in a nice comfortable, large van by a very pleasant, careful driver. A great way to see all these sites in a single day.

Everyone in our group enjoyed this great tour. Our driver Michele was really good. He was pleasant and informative.

Our guide Andrea was very knowledgeable and kept us all very interested in Pompeii and Herculaneum. It was a very long day with lots of walking but definitely worth it.

We had 10 hours at the Naples port and decided to go big to be able to see a lot in a short amount of time. Rick Steves recommended Mondo Tours so we contacted them for tour options. The times of the shared tours didn't work for us (we wouldn't get back to our ship in time) so we opted for private tour. We were met at our cruise ship by Sylvia (our tour guide) and Michele (our driver). In contrast to our tour guide in Pisa and Florence the previous day, it was so nice to have a driver concentrated on driving and a tour guide concentrating on giving us all the information. They were both so warm and friendly that we were immediately glad we had booked a tour with them. Sylvia is passionate about Naples and shared that passion with us during our private tour of Herculaneum, Pompeii and Naples. Michele managed the traffic in Naples like a pro and we felt safe the whole time. We started at Herculaneum to beat the heat and Sylvia explained their tragic history. We then drove to Pompeii and saw the amazing ruins to finish out the morning. We drove back to Naples for lunch (she recommended a fabulous restaurant for Napoli pizza) and walked around the historic, new and seaside parts of town. We could have spent 4 days touring around with Sylvia she was so engaging in her excitement for her people, city and their history. We had planned to go to the archaeological museum but opted instead to walk all around to get the feel of the city. She took us to her favorite coffee shop and we had the best tasting espressos of our whole trip (she spoiled us so that my American coffee does taste like brown water now). She was attentive to our style and personalities and tailored the tour accordingly. I would love to go back and have Sylvia tour us around to see the underground city of Naples, Sorrento, Capri and all of the Almalfi Coast. She made the day so fun and full of personality. We didn't see Michele much in the afternoon because we opted for walking rather than driving, but he was ready for us as soon as we needed a ride back to the port. I would highly recommend Mondo Guide Tours, and Sylvia and Michele in particular.
