Venice: Market Tour with Hands-on Cooking Class, Wine & Tiramisu

Such a great tour! Fun to stroll the market and basically decide our menu. Wonderful homemade food that we actually made!

Rosalina was fabulous. What a wonderful way to spend a morning! Nothing like picking out a fresh fish and cooing it. We made pasta with semolina. Simple but delicious.

Rosanna was a wonderful tour guide of the Rialto Market and a terrific instructor for the hands-on cooking class. The pasta and tiramisu were fun to make and delicious to eat. All of the participants worked well together and had a very enjoyable time!

Our tour guide/chef was wonderful . She gave us an insiders and locals look at the market. The walk to the kitchen was enjoyable and the food we cooked was delicious. I never made pasta before but her instruction was clear and helped us make a delicious lunch!

Lorenzo was an absolute joy and the group had a really lovely time learning how to make ravioli, artichoke hearts and fish and tiramisu. The tour of the market was great but also sad to see how this livlihood has diminished over the years. I did end up buying some regional favorites. We had a great time! Everyone should take a cooking class with Lorenzo!

This was an amazing experience! Our host and chef, Rosanna, met us by the Rialto Market on a busy Saturday morning. After touring the beautiful selections of seafood, meat and vegetables and completing our shopping, we had a very long 30 minute walk to the cooking studio. We had unlimited wine and water as we were preparing the meal and Rosanna was an excellent teacher. We prepared homemade red sauce with eggplant, baby artichokes, asparagus, homemade pasta, sea beam filets in parchment, tomato salad and individual tiramisu. The class and meal was much longer than advertised so allow at least five hours total. There were six of us in the highly interactive class and it was so much fun. The meal and company were amazing. I highly recommend this tour. It was so worth the money and our time. Just be prepared for lots of walking.

An absolutely wonderful experience that we would do again if we come back to Venice. We were met and taken to the Rialto fresh markets and then on to do some Italian cooking. We made lots of fresh Italian inspired dishes, being shown different methods of cooking and preparing the ingredients. We cooked some starters, a main course and a dessert and then sat down to eat it all with a glass of wine. The hosts were absolutely amazing, very knowledgeable and very friendly and created a lovely atmosphere. An experience we will never forget and can’t recommend highly enough.

This experience was my favorite in Venice! Chef Lorenzo 👨‍🍳 made you feel very comfortable in his kitchen and taught us to make homemade pasta and tiramisu♡ Make sure you have google maps on your phone and give a little extra time for getting lost in the maze of Venice(part of the experience) ♡ We left so full and so proud of our creations!
