Too long tour outside the Colosseum, gardens, etc. It took away time that we could have used to take photos. The guides, Mario, tried to make the tour fun, sometimes without much success. But the explanations were good. As for Raul in the Colosseum underground, he was a spectacular guide. You could see that he enjoyed every explanation. He answered all our questions. One of the best tour guides I have met throughout my life, perhaps the best. A 10. Thank you for everything.

Tour guide was informative and kept a good pace for our group size. At the last minute the underground portion was removed from the tour due to overcrowding. Not the tour operators fault. It appeared no one was being permitted down there on Dec 27th. It was beautiful but very crowded.

Our tour was broken out into two parts. The first was of the surrounding ancient city. The his for this half was excellent. Explained the history with humor and wit which the group all seemed to appreciate. The second part of the tour took place inside the colosseum. Now I don’t really know why it was broken up this way, but the second guid was not pleasant. She must have mentioned her credentials half a dozen times and she was not welcoming of questions. Had we had the first guid all the way through I would have given this a 5 stars
