Our guide was full of interesting information about the basilica and the dome. She warned us that the climb to the top of the dome would be difficult and she was not lying! 😁 It definitely took it out of me to climb the last 200-ish steps. I’m so glad that we got to take the elevator as far as we did! There’s no way I would’ve made it! 🤣

The tour was good. We liked our guide but the audio quality on the headsets in the basilica was poor. Also we really wanted to go to the necropolis and this tour long description mentioned crypts and papal tombs but in actual fact it was just the papal tombs. Overall it was good but the audio made it hard to hear the good information our guide was trying to give us.
