They are located in the cities we visit, most of them not in the city center but all of them with easy access to public transportation nearby. Our accommodation is not based on luxury hotels. Please keep in mind that standards, bed sizes and room dimensions can vary between hotels of the same class in different locations. All rooms are equipped with private bathroom and TV. Some of them also offer a mini-bar, safe box, and hair dryer. Many hotels, mainly in North Europe, do not have air conditioning or local legislation establishes limited dates of use.

Day 4 – Day 4: Rome to Bari via Adriatic Sea

Today, we journey towards the Adriatic Sea, taking in the stunning landscapes of the Apennine Mountain range. We'll stop at the Abbey of San Giovanni in Venere, a beautiful 11th-century abbey, and the charming seaside city of Termoli. We'll also visit Monte Sant'Angelo, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and Trani, known as 'the pearl of the Adriatic'. We'll end the day in Bari, where you'll have some free time to explore before heading to the hotel.

After breakfast, we'll explore the old town of Bari, a city rich in history and culture. Later, we'll board a modern ferry to cross the Ionian Sea to Igoumenitsa, Greece. Please note that you'll need to carry your luggage during the ferry journey. Upon arrival in Igoumenitsa, we'll check into our hotel for the night.
Day 6 – Day 6: Igoumenitsa to Kalambaka via Metsovo and Meteora

Today, we'll journey through the high mountains of Epirus to the picturesque village of Metsovo. We'll then continue to the region of Thessaly, stopping at the stunning Meteora, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its monasteries perched atop towering rock formations. We'll visit one of the most famous monasteries before heading to our hotel in Kalambaka, where dinner is included.
