They are located in the cities we visit, most of them not in the city center but all of them with easy access to public transportation nearby. Our accommodation is not based on luxury hotels. Please keep in mind that standards, bed sizes and room dimensions can vary between hotels of the same class in different locations. All rooms are equipped with private bathroom and TV. Some of them also offer a mini-bar, safe box, and hair dryer. Many hotels, mainly in North Europe, do not have air conditioning or local legislation establishes limited dates of use.

Welcome to Rome, the Eternal City! Upon your arrival at the airport, a transfer will take you to your hotel. In the evening, we'll introduce you to the city with a visit to the Esquiline area, a neighborhood rich in history and home to the Colosseum and several grand basilicas.

Kickstart your day with a city tour that will serve as an introduction to Rome. We'll visit the Imperial Forums, a complex of monumental buildings and squares that were the center of political activity in ancient times. Later, we'll head to St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican, where you'll have free time to attend mass if you wish. The afternoon is yours to explore at your leisure.

Today is a free day for you to explore Rome at your own pace. You may choose to join an optional trip to Napoli, Capri, and Pompeii, or simply relax and enjoy the city's many attractions.
Day 4 – Day 4: Rome to Bari via Adriatic Coast

Today, we journey towards the Adriatic Sea, taking in the magnificent landscapes of the Apennine Mountain range. We'll stop at the Abbey of San Giovanni in Venere, a beautiful 11th-century abbey built on an ancient Roman temple. We'll also visit Termoli, a charming seaside city, and Monte Sant'Angelo, a world heritage site known for its Romanesque sanctuary. Our final stop is Trani, the 'pearl of the Adriatic', before we reach our destination for the day, Bari.

After breakfast, we'll explore the old town of Bari, a port city with a rich history dating back to Roman times. We'll then continue to Brindisi, where we'll board a modern ferry to cross the Ionian Sea. After an 8-hour crossing, we'll arrive in Igoumenitsa, Greece.

We'll start the day by traveling through the high mountains of Epirus to Metsovo, a picturesque Balkan village nestled between mountains. We'll then stop at Kastraiki, a charming village with stunning views over the Meteora valley. We'll visit the Meteora, a World Heritage Site known for its monasteries perched atop immense rock formations. We'll end the day in Kalambaka, where dinner is included.

We'll travel south through the Thessaly region to Delphi, where we'll visit the beautiful archaeological complex overlooking the Gulf of Corinth. After lunch, we'll visit the Osios Loukas Monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its magnificent 11th-century mosaics. We'll then continue our journey to Athens, arriving in the evening.

In the morning, we'll take a sightseeing tour of Athens, visiting the modern city, the Panathinaikos Stadium, and the Royal Palace. You'll have free time in the afternoon to explore further. In the evening, we'll transfer you to the port of Piraeus to board an overnight ferry to Rhodes. Accommodation will be in a double cabin.

We'll start the day with an excursion to explore the island of Rhodes. We'll visit Filerimos, a small monastery atop a hill, and Lindos, a city dominated by its medieval fortress and Greek Acropolis. After lunch, we'll return to Rhodes for some free time before catching a flight to the island of Crete, where we'll stay in Heraklion.

In the morning, we'll travel along the coast towards the west of the island. We'll visit Rethymno, a beautiful coastal city of Venetian origin, and Chania, a captivating city with an impressive fortress and stately mansions. We'll return to Heraklion at the end of the day.

Today, we'll visit the Palace of Knossos, where you can learn about the Minoan culture that gave rise to Greek culture four thousand years ago. After the visit, we'll cross the high mountains in the center of the island and travel to the southern area. We'll visit Agia Galini, a picturesque town next to the Libyan Sea, where you can have lunch and, if you wish, swim in the sea. We'll return to Heraklion in the evening.

We'll leave along the coast towards the east of the island. We'll visit the small town of Kritsa and Panagia Kera, a 13th-century church with some of the best frescoes in Crete. We'll then visit Agios Nikolaos, a picturesque town with a natural port, and Elounda, a beautiful tourist enclave. From here, we'll take a boat ride to the island-citadel of Spinalonga, an ancient Venetian fortress that was later a leprosarium. We'll return to Heraklion in the evening.

We'll start the day with a fast ferry to the island of Santorini. We'll visit Oia, the most spectacular town on the island, and Fira, the capital of the island. You can choose to go down by cable car or donkey to the port, where the cruise ships arrive. In the afternoon, we'll take a fast ferry back to Athens, arriving at midnight.
