This was the best tour I have ever taken. The guide was fabulous and couldn’t have been better. I fully recommend this tour if you really want to learn about the Vatican and if you want the friendliest guide ever!

Great tour! Wear comfortable shoes, a lot of walking and also half is outdoors so be prepared for weather conditions. Clarify meeting point beforehand. The whole area is full of people and tours so its very overwhelming. The tour company name on my voucher was different than what my actual tour ending up being with so just double check everything the night before. Otherwise everything was great and worth the money to skip line.

Very disappointed….guide cancelled AT the time we were to meet. As you can imagine, being here with our son for the first time and mostly likely the last time and no tour guide. Sure an offer to reschedule was made but really.? It was our last day in Rome…still awaiting some compensation…nobody has replied. As in the days of the Roman Empire, thumb down to them.

I was going to leave a bad review but Get Your Guide (GYG) corrected the problem. Once a tour has been booked, GYG looks for local tour agencies. The agent/person reach out to the customer with the details. When well organized it works, but this was a mess. The company, ILoveItaly reached out the day before with all the wrong info. I told them the details of my booking but tried forcing this tour on us: To come early and do the tour in English. I explained that I had paid for a private afternoon tour in Spanish. I reached out to GYG and the next day it was resolved. As for the guide…she was initially a bit off-putting but warmed up to us once she realized we weren’t crazy/rude tourists. Beatriz did an amazing job in explaining the Vatican’s rich history. She has an impressive knowledge of the works of art and their ties to both old and new testaments. I enjoyed how she tied both real history to allegory. Overall a good experience and would do it again despite the initial issues.

We were picked up from the ship and taken to Rome. Had some free time there and then a great tour. Then we were needed back to the ship. An exhausting but perfect day in Rome
