Day 1 – Day 1: Leisure Day in Catania

After breakfast, we'll head to Syracuse to visit the Archaeological Park of Neapolis, the largest and most powerful Greek colony in Sicily. We'll then explore Ortigia's old town center, with its stunning Piazza Duomo and Cathedral. Our journey continues to Noto, the 'stone garden' and capital of Sicilian baroque, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After a day of exploration, we'll proceed to Ragusa for dinner and an overnight stay.

After breakfast, we'll explore the beautiful churches and the Ibleo garden of Ragusa Ibla. We'll then proceed to Modica, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its baroque treasures. We'll also sample the area's typical products. Our next stop is Piazza Armerina, where we'll visit the splendid Villa Romana del Casale, a late imperial period building and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We'll end the day in Agrigento, where we'll have dinner and spend the night.

After breakfast, we'll visit the famous Valley of the Temples, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We'll then head to Marsala, a city rich in Phoenician, Arab, and Norman influences. Here, we'll enjoy a wine tasting of the local Marsala wine. We'll also visit the famous Via del Sale, a salt mining area of great environmental value. We'll end the day in Palermo, where we'll check into our hotel and spend the night.

After breakfast, we'll head to Monreale to visit the impressive Arab-Norman Cathedral and its stunning Cloister. We'll also stop at a local bakery for a delightful food surprise. Overnight stay in Palermo.
