This modern lodge-style hotel is located a few kilometers outside Catania at the foot of the Etna National Park. The hotel is surrounded by a park and offers an outdoor swimming pool as well as an indoor pool in the hotel's spa area (charges apply). The location is ideal for exploring Mount Etna and its surroundings. It is only about 15 km to the center of Catania. All rooms are equipped with minibar, telephone, satellite TV, air conditioning, shower/WC with hairdryer. 3 nights.

The hotel is beautifully situated on the headland in the harbor, opposite the old town of Syracuse. From the terrace and the path along the sea you have a fantastic view of Syracuse and Mount Etna behind it. The rooms are spacious and tastefully furnished to a high standard. Welcome to Catania! Upon your arrival, you'll be transferred to your hotel, the Grand Hotel Villa Itria (or similar), located north of Catania. Your tour guide will meet you at the hotel reception at 7:00 PM for a brief introduction to the trip. The day concludes with a cozy dinner at a typical Sicilian pizzeria, just a short walk from the hotel.
Day 2 – Day 2: Mount Etna and Catania

Day two is all about Mount Etna, Europe's highest volcano. After a scenic bus ride, you'll hike along the volcano's younger craters before cycling down its fertile slopes. After a picnic lunch, you'll head back to Catania for a guided tour of the city's Baroque center, including the famous Elephant Fountain. The day ends with dinner at a traditional restaurant in the old town.

Day three takes you to the northern slope of Mount Etna. You'll cycle along the Alcantara River, passing through lemon and olive groves, before reaching the seaside resort of Naxos. From there, a cable car ride will take you to Taormina, where you'll tour the ancient theater and enjoy breathtaking views of Mount Etna and the sea. The day concludes with a return to your hotel in Catania.

Day four takes you to the Pantalica Necropolis, a testament to Sicily's ancient history. After a scenic bus ride, you'll cycle through the Monti Iblei, stopping for lunch at a local restaurant. You'll then hike through the necropolis, home to over 5,000 burial caves. The day concludes with a transfer to your seaside hotel, the Grand Hotel Minareto (or similar), located in the Bay of Syracuse.

Day five is dedicated to exploring Syracuse, a city older than Rome. You'll start with a visit to the archaeological area, home to the Greek theater and the Latomie quarries. After a peaceful cycle to the Kyane River, you'll return to the hotel. In the late afternoon, you'll tour the old town of Syracuse, where you'll have the evening free to dine at a restaurant of your choice.
