The Dolomites Walking & Hiking Tour

Our journey begins at the Bolzano train station, from where we'll drive into the heart of the Dolomite Alps to the village of Compatsch in the Alpe di Siusi. Here, we'll enjoy a leisurely stroll across open meadows, surrounded by pine forests and quaint alpine huts. The day concludes with a delicious dinner. You may also wish to explore Bolzano's arcaded shopping and the fascinating Iceman Museum before the trip starts.

After a short cable car ride, we'll embark on a leisurely loop-walk through the Alpe di Siusi, exploring fairytale witch benches and breathtaking lookout points over the Val Gardena. We'll then traverse the Goldknopf alpine pasture, taking in panoramic views of the Dolomite peaks, before entering the magical Spiegelwald forest. The day concludes with a hearty dinner.

We'll start the day with a cable car ride to the Sella Pass, where we'll follow a panoramic trail with the Sasso Lungo and Sasso Piatto mountains always in sight. The trail offers breathtaking views over the Catinaccio group and the Marmolada Glacier, and we might even spot some marmots along the way. The day concludes with a delicious dinner.

We'll start the day at Passo Falzarego, walking across meadows abundant with wildflowers and gradually climbing up to the Nuvolau. After lunch in a mountain hut, we'll explore the site of fierce Austrian-Italian battles during WWI, walking through trenches and fortifications at the foot of five stone towers. The day concludes with a delicious dinner.

We'll take a scenic drive from the chic ski resort of Cortina D’Ampezzo, past the enchanting Lake Misurina, to Rifugio Auronzo, the starting point of today's circular walk. We'll enjoy a long and enjoyable trail around the base of the magnificent pinnacles of the Tre Cime di Lavaredo, marveling at the honey-colored shadows reflecting on its perpendicular limestone walls in the afternoon sun. The day concludes with a delicious dinner.

We'll take a leisurely walk beneath the Santa Croce Massif, through pastures and farmland dotted with many wildflowers. The majesty of the mountains around us will make us feel so small, reminding us of the farmers who once lived here in isolation during the winter months, relying on faith, skill-sharing, cooperation, and hard work to survive arduous conditions. The day concludes with a delicious dinner.

We'll start the day with an early departure to Lake Braies, where we'll make a circular walk around this magnificent, emerald green alpine lake. On our return to S.Vigilio in the minibus, we'll stop for a stroll in the charming old town of Brunico. The day concludes with a delicious dinner.

After breakfast, we'll depart from our hotel at 9.00 am and drop off at the Bolzano train station at 11.00 am, marking the end of our unforgettable journey through the Dolomite Alps.
