They are located in the cities we visit, most of them not in the city center but all of them with easy access to public transportation nearby. Our accommodation is not based on luxury hotels. Please keep in mind that standards, bed sizes and room dimensions can vary between hotels of the same class in different locations. All rooms are equipped with private bathroom and TV. Some of them also offer a mini-bar, safe box, and hair dryer. Many hotels, mainly in North Europe, do not have air conditioning or local legislation establishes limited dates of use.

Today, we embark on an enchanting journey through the beautiful region of Umbria. Our first stop is Orvieto, a medieval city majestically set atop a flat summit. We'll take a cable car to the medieval center and marvel at the stunning cathedral. Next, we travel to Castiglione del Lago, nestled on the banks of Lake Trasimeno, for a leisurely stroll and lunch. Our journey continues to Siena, renowned for its famous Piazza del Campo and the impressive Duomo. We'll spend the afternoon exploring Siena.

We leave Siena and make a stop at Monteriggioni, a magical medieval village with cobbled streets and ancient walls. Afterward, we continue to San Gimignano, a charming city with tall medieval towers. After lunch, we travel to Florence, the capital of Tuscany, arriving in the early afternoon. We recommend an afternoon visit to the Uffizi Gallery or the Accademia Gallery (both closed on Mondays).

After capturing a photo at the Michelangelo viewpoint, where we'll enjoy one of the most breathtaking views of Florence, we embark on a guided tour of the capital of Tuscany. Known as the cradle of the Renaissance, Florence has inspired some of the most influential artists and thinkers in history. We'll marvel at the Gothic Cathedral (Duomo di Firenze), the ancient stone bridge (Ponte Vecchio), and Piazza della Signoria. Free time will follow the tour.

Today, we travel to Pisa, where a little tourist train will take us to the Piazza dei Miracoli, home of the famous Leaning Tower of Pisa. After this, we head to the Ligurian Riviera to visit the Cinque Terre, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This area comprises five villages, almost isolated by road, which live on fishing and tourism. We arrive by train to one of its charming towns (normally Vernazza). After lunch, we travel by train to Levanto and then by bus to Genoa, a city with a rich medieval history.

We continue our journey to Santa Margherita Ligure, where we'll embark for Portofino, one of the most exclusive places in Europe. Enjoy a stroll by the sea and time at leisure. After lunch, we continue to Milan, the bustling northern city where we recommend a visit to the cathedral. Note: During winter, weather conditions may prevent the boat to Portofino from operating. In such cases, we'll spend more time in Santa Margherita.
