Upon your arrival in Siena, make your way to your hotel (or similar). Spend the day exploring the historic city center, where you can visit the iconic Piazza del Campo, climb the Torre del Mangia for breathtaking views, and marvel at the stunning Duomo. Wander through the narrow, medieval streets and immerse yourself in the rich history of this beautifully preserved Italian gem.

Begin your journey along the Via Francigena, traversing the picturesque Tuscan countryside. Walk through vibrant meadows, passing the medieval village of Cuna before reaching Monteroni d'Arbia, known for its historic watermill. Continue to the fortified hamlet of Lucignano d'Arbia, with its charming cypress-lined entrance. Enjoy the serene landscapes and the rich history of these quaint locales.

Today's walk takes you through the rolling hills and wheat fields of the Crete Senesi region, known for its unique clay crags. The distinctive grey soil gives the landscape a lunar appearance. Your destination is Buonconvento, a walled town celebrated as one of Italy's most beautiful villages. Enjoy the scenic beauty and historical charm of this remarkable area.

Embark on a scenic walk towards San Quirico d'Orcia, navigating dirt roads and some paved paths. The enchanting views of the Val d'Orcia, with its hills, vineyards, and cypress trees, will captivate you. Today's walk takes you through ancient towns and scenic hills to an agriturismo, where you'll stay amidst olive groves and typical Tuscan countryside. If the agriturismo is unavailable, you'll transfer to Radicofani for an overnight stay in an apartment, with dinner at a nearby restaurant. In Radicofani, explore the imposing fortress and the 13th-century Pieve di San Pietro.

After a short transfer from the agriturismo to Radicofani's main square, begin your walk along the historic Via Cassia, surrounded by hills and the majestic Mount Amiata. Reach Centeno, where you'll be picked up and transferred to Orvieto. This beautiful city, perched on a tufaceous hill, boasts an impressive cathedral, a well-preserved medieval town center, and an intriguing underground network of tunnels.
