Truly exceptional tour. We just ended our tour with Matt and we are thrilled. We took this tour because we were very interested in the D-Day landing beaches in Normandy. But his explanation highly exceeded our expectations. He made it sound like a thriller, gradually gathering momentum while speaking about the differences between the Germans and the Allies. And then actually visiting the places where the landing took place... the bunkers, the German defending positions, the actual facts about the landing and the soldiers.. just incredible and absolutely moving!

Our Tour Guide, Matt, gave an info packed tour that was suitable for both history nerds and the casual tourist. He shared a good mix of the overall scope of the war and the weapons and structures at hand and the personal experiences of troops (US & German) and the local French populace. The tour was detailed and personal, emotional and light hearted & funny. All around, it was everything we were looking for.

My adult son and I booked the half day, D-Day tour. We were excited about the tour ahead of time and anticipated that it would be both educational and emotional. The experience FAR exceeded both our expectations. From the minute we met our tour guide Matt, we were masterfully taken on an educational journey. Matt told us at the beginning he was going to talk to us for four hours straight and he kept his promise, sharing the history of the Liberation from all sides, American, British, French and of course German. Matt was highly attentive to the needs of each guest and found time to interact individually with all of us. It made for a very special trip. Upon conclusion of the tour Matt shared advice on where we should go to lunch, other D Day spots to visit as well as additional local points of interest. All in all a 10 out of 10!
