Full-Day Knossos And Heraklion Tour From Chania

Driver was on time, attentive, shared lots of information about what we were seeing on the drive, and made sure we were comfortable and had all that we needed! Tour of Knossos is not to be missed, and spending time in Heraklion City was a nice add to our time in Crete. We would definitely use this tour company again!

The tour was well planned and timed. The tour guide Jo and the bus driver were both very friendly and prompt. It was a long hot day and I perhaps wouldn’t choose to do the same activities a second time, but I can’t fault the tour operators themselves.

The whole experience - apart from being told by Viator that I would be picked up outside a hotel in an area where motor vehicles are in fact not allowed. The tour operators themselves sent me an email to explain this.

We have a wonderful day trip to Knossos and Heraklion! The trip to Knossos started with a very good guide who shared with us his knowledge of the place- is the largest Bronze Age archaeological site on Crete. He would even told us where is a good place to take picture! The Heraklion Archaeological Museum is also a must-go - as it contains the most notable and complete collection of artefacts of the Minoan civilization of Crete. For those who are fans of the greek civilisation, should not miss these 2 locations.

Definitely worth a visit if you love history. The guide at the site is knowledgeable and we learned alot of new information. Joe our guide was amazing and proved many facts on route.

The Knossos palace was ok

There is no breakfast and the breakfast snack at is hopeless just an excuse to collect money for the palace and museum which I would have thought would have been in the tour ticket

Not being on the list for the coach and told we were lucky that4 people had cancelled otherwise we could not have gone. It started badly. The breakfast stop was awful and the food expensive and very poor. After that things picked up. Manolis the Guide was amazing.

Jo, the company rep, was great. However, the rest was subpar. The group was very, very big in comparison to similar tours I’ve done elsewhere. Mask wearing on the bus was not enforced. The bus was extremely hot and uncomfortable on the way back. The guide at Knossos itself was absolutely terrible. Just like a robot with no passion or enthusiasm. Much of the group began peeling off to wander alone and forgo her droning on and on. We’re history buffs and were so excited- she was shockingly bad. The time allocated for Heraklion was really not sufficient to both see the museum with any sort of intention and have lunch. Thanks, Jo for interesting info on Crete on the way over. Really made a difference!
