Auschwitz-Birkenau and Wieliczka Salt Mine Museum Guided Tour from Krakow

The Driver, Daniel, was great! Very friendly and informative about the surrounding area. The plan for the day was also very clear. Both tour guides from Auschwitz-Birkenhau and the salt mines were very good. Overall just a great experience!

Found these guys through Tripadvisor and Google. Great communication from the outset. Clear, precise costs and instructions. For both yours we were picked up from our hotel in a comfortable van - there were only the four of us plus the driver. Gregorz did the first trip to Auschwitz-Birkenau - very careful and steady driver who good conversation. When we arrived at the memorial he had all ticket and meeting arrangements in hand, helped onto a group tour and transported us between sites. Also provided a superb packed lunch (small extra charge) - met us after the final tour at Birkenau. Careful steady driver who back to the hotel. Journey time about 1.20 each way and about 4/5 for the combined tour.

Second day same procedure with Slawek as the driver to the Salt Mines - all tickets and arrangements sorted in all respects - tour lasted about 2 hrs and w as fabulous. Safe and careful drive to and from the venue.

Drivers took cash for both trips on the day.

Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this company and both drivers were absolutely brilliant. Very good trips and a must if you’re in Krakow and haven’t done them before.

Professional and reliable tour. Booked based on reviews and was not disappointed. Transport was a well maintained, comfortable and modern vehicle. Tickets were given at point of entry by provider, who guided you every step of the way to entry. No delays, no stress.

A couple of useful practical points from our experience:

Time of collection was confirmed one day before, so no need to worry. Do send your mobile number through TripAdvisor.

We opted for the bookable lunch bag that was good value, but you will have little time to eat between Auschwitz sites (a little early at approx 11 am for us).

Suggest keeping aside non perishables for later. We had time before Salt Mines, and having snacks and water middle afternoon proved a good decision.

Our trip was total walking steps of 15 - 16,000. Just to bear in mind, as the day could be physically quite long for some (it goes without saying, the day is emotionally draining).

Salt mines has a lot of stairs down, but a lift returns you. The stairs are very good quality. Mostly large chambers but with some long corridors.

Doing this trip without a door to door service would have taken a lot longer and not possible in one day. It is a long day, but (10.5 hours), but some time in the car to rest.

I highly recommend this provider for seamless day.

A brilliant tour company, we were messaged the day before to let us know who would be our driver and what time we would be picked up, we were also given the choice at this point of having a packed lunch provided for 50PLN, approx £10 each, which we gratefully accepted, the lunch was well worth the money. We were picked up exactly when stated from outside of our hotel, Wiktor was our driver for the day who kept us informed and made sure that we knew what we were doing at each and every point!

Our very knowledgeable tour guides for both Auschwitz - Birkenhau and the Salt mines were very informative and answered all questions asked.

We would definitely recommend this tour company to everyone and to anyone not decided, whilst the day is long, approx 10 hours, it is well worth choosing this tour and the tour company, you won’t be disappointed.

A truly hassle free,well organised, and professional service. Our driver Ziisi ( I hope correct spelling !) met my family ( 6 of us) outside our apartment at our pre-arranged time .A true professional, he explained the days itinerary and what to expect. He had our tickets with him and escorted us directly to the entrance of Auschwitz ,staying with us until we entered the building. He was there again to meet us and brought us on the second part of our day's tour. Any questions we had, he answered;

" I will be with you all day,and I will look after you," which is exactly what Zissi did!! KrakowTrip is an excellent tour operator and very good value for money. They take away any hassle ,so you can relax.

Well organised with excellent driver and guides. We could just focus on taking in the experience. We would highly recommend it. The optional lunch was also good value for money.

Fantastic long day but company were great texted the day before offered lunch. Recommend taking this unless taking own as there is no where to get anything. They also provided gluten free on request. Would highly recommend

We went here today 9/11/23) with Christophe from Krakow Direct. We booked it online from the UK and it worked out cheaper than booking it here. We were picked up from our hotel at 6.45am. It was a 1.5 hour journey to get there but we watched a video about Auschwitz on the way which was very informative. Once we got there we had a quick 10 minute toilet/drinks break before our guide lines us up ready to go in. This tour should be done with a guide to get the best out of it. There is a lot of walking involved including steps in and out of various buildings. We probably chose the hottest day to do this which couldn't be helped but it did make it more tiresome. From Auschwitz we went to Auschwitz Birkenau which again was very informative and a lot of walking. I don't recommend this trip for children or anyone who struggles with mobility. This tour will leave you emotionally drained as it is hard to fathom that people can treat other people this way.

Driver picked us up at the hotel and was very friendly. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and this was an eye opening experience.

This was a full day adventure. It was nice to be picked up and dropped off at our accommodation. Great communication prior regarding pick up and lunch options. I liked how informative the video was prior to visiting Auschwitz. It was nice uplift the mood and finish the day walking through a massive salt mine with spectacular salt sculptures! 🙂
