Our day touring with Monica was perfect. We saw so much of the area in one day. The Pena castle and visits to the towns were perfect. Visiting in February off season is highly recommended.

To this day, my husband and I say that our first trip to Portugal was wonderful in large part because of our private tour of Sintra. Our guide Maria Madalena is a pro — incredibly knowledgeable, warm, and engaging. From the moment she drove us from our hotel to Sintra and back, she took us on a compelling — and fun!! — journey through the history of Lisbon and Sintra. We enjoyed chatting with her the whole time. Not only is she an awesome guide, she’s a great photographer! I have a collection of photos with amazing views and that capture the adventure of our tour. Finally,

when she learned that my husband and I were traveling to celebrate his birthday and our wedding anniversary, she secured for us same day lunch reservations at a favorite seafood spot overlooking the beach. It was so thoughtful. Thanks Maria for making my first trip to Portugal so memorable and special. I hope to return soon.

Pedro was an incredible guide. He was so knowledgeable about the area, its history and highlights. We toured both Cascais and Sintra, along with “Hell’s mouth” and the western most point in the continent. He was warm, enthusiastic and funny and we just had a tremendous day, way above our expectations. I would highly recommend both the tour and Pedro.

Next, as a local, he knew all the ropes. He was extremely professional, but also very warm and cordial. I loved being part od his tour, felt taken care of, and also learnt a lot.

We had a great experience with our tour leader Mary Magdalene, she was super knowledgeable spoke multiple languages and full of enthusiasm even though she probably does the same tour day in day out. Kept sharing information until she dropped us back to our hotel in Lisboa. Highly recommend it. They pick you and drop you off at the hotel, due to traffic we ended up getting back to the hotel just before 7, so was more than 8 hours in total.

Jorge from Yellow Cab TT Tours was an amazing driver but more importantly, a very knowledgeable guide. He was very very punctual and, he obviously is very good at his job. Great sense of humour, friendly, even with other guides, and yet drives in a safe and skillful manner. I highly recommend Jorge as someone who not only knows Lisbon and the outskirts well, has an extensive knowledge of history, not just of Portugal, but Europe in general. We learnt so much from this short tour and even though we overran by about an hour, he was cheerful and friendly throughout.
