We had a private walking tour of Lisbon with Joao and it was absolutely exceptional. He met us at our hotel and we proceeded on a fantastic journey filled with history, folklore, and modern understanding as we wove our way through the neighborhoods of central Lisbon. Joao clearly loves his country and this city in particular as his knowledge and pride are on display for the entire journey. We were in very capable hands with a consummate professional guide. Joao knows this city so well that he has curated and paced his tour in such a thoughtful way to manage the hills and the crowds in a way that allows you to participate fully without over tiring. This was the very first activity we did upon arriving in Lisbon yesterday and we could not be more pleased with our orientation to this magical place.

We asked a lot of questions, so the tour ended up taking a lot longer than three hours. We also made him walk a lot longer than the normal tour.
