Welcome to Longyearbyen, the starting point of our Arctic expedition. Upon arrival at the airport, our staff will escort you to a comfortable hotel. Spend the day exploring the town center and visit the Svalbard Museum to learn about the region's history. Enjoy a delightful dinner at a local restaurant and experience the midnight sun.
Day 2 – Day 2: Exploring Longyearbyen and Boarding M/V Sea Spirit
Day 2: Exploring Longyearbyen and Boarding M/V Sea Spirit
After breakfast, spend the morning at your leisure in Longyearbyen. Shop for souvenirs or cold-weather gear before boarding the deluxe expedition vessel M/V Sea Spirit in the afternoon. Settle into your spacious suite and enjoy the first of many delicious dinners on board. As we sail through Isfjorden, admire the stunning scenery in 24-hour daylight.
Day 3 – Day 3: Discovering Northwest Spitsbergen National Park and Ny Ålesund

Today, we aim to circumnavigate the Svalbard archipelago, starting with the Northwest Spitsbergen National Park. Marvel at the deep fjords, serrated mountain ranges, and immense tidewater glaciers. Look out for marine mammals and millions of birds nesting in the park. Later, visit Ny Ålesund, one of the world's most northerly settlements, where you can explore a museum, gift shop, and post office.

Navigate along the Polar Ice Edge towards the island of Nordaustlandet and further east towards Kvitøya. This part of Svalbard is full of stunning scenery and wildlife, offering a unique experience. Please note that our route and research opportunities are dependent on the weather.

Today, we attempt to explore the eastern and northern regions of the Svalbard Archipelago. Experience the beautiful remoteness of Svalbard's Arctic wilderness areas. Kvitøya, one of the most rarely visited islands, offers an opportunity to observe polar bears in their natural habitat.
Day 6 – Day 6: Visit to Northwest Svalbard Nature Reserve

Expect to encounter significant sea ice concentrations in the Northwest Svalbard Nature Reserve. This icy wilderness is a good location for spotting polar bears and walruses. The cliffs of Alkefjellet are home to thousands of seabirds, offering a unique bird-watching experience.
