Tromsö & Alta: Arctic Northern Lights - 5 days

Welcome to Tromsö, a city located north of the Arctic Circle. Upon arrival, you will be transferred from the airport to your accommodation, where you can rest and prepare for the exciting days ahead.

Start your day with a hearty breakfast before embarking on a city tour of Tromsö. Visit the world's northernmost Botanical gardens and enjoy the stunning mountain views. Continue to the Tromso University Museum to learn about the indigenous Sami people and the nature and culture of northern Norway. Visit the Arctic Cathedral, a masterpiece with a monumental stained-glass window. In the evening, head to the Aurora Camp, where you'll meet friendly Alaskan huskies and enjoy a traditional Norwegian dinner under the Northern Lights.

After breakfast, embark on an 8-hour journey to Alta, traversing stunning mountain landscapes and enjoying two ferry rides. Arrive in Alta in the late afternoon and check into your accommodation. In the evening, you have the option to join a Northern Lights tour at the family-owned Sorrisniva Adventure Facility, perfectly located to maximize your chances of seeing the magnificent Northern Lights.

Start your day with a visit to the award-winning Alta Museum, located at the site of early settlement of Finnmark dating around 11,000 years ago. Learn about local culture and history before visiting the modern Northern Lights Cathedral in the heart of the town. Spend the rest of the day exploring Alta at your own pace. In the evening, you have the option to join a sleigh ride under the Northern Lights, ending with a traditional dinner served around a warm fire.
