This was my first trip on Mersey Ferries since 1988. On that day 37 years ago the ticket seller on board let me, my mum and my sister ride for free (we didn't have much money back then and we probably looked like we didn't and my mum still talks about that act of kindness now) Time has moved on and the terminal is modern now and I bought my ticket online on my phone. But the same friendly welcoming atmosphere is still there and they've kept the spirit of the ferry service and the kind hearted, hard working people of Liverpool alive. It was a nostalgic trip into my own past alongside experiencing how Liverpool and the Mersey are embracing the exciting and innovative future

We had an amazing time. We arrived about 20 mins before departure and we were more or less at the front of the queue. We were very lucky with the weather, the sun was shining and no wind......a perfect day.

It was wonderful , cold because it was February, but for us it didn't spoil the experience and the interesting commentary on what we saw. However if you go at this time of year don't look for the brightly coloured ferry as shown in the advert, it's just the normal plain ferry boat.

Thank you for your review. We have two ferries that operate our river cruises, both of which are heritage ferries and are over 60 years old. One was painted in more recent years in the Dazzle colours and whilst we try and keep this vessel on the river as often as possible, both vessels need regular maintenance due to their age. When the Dazzle comes off the river for maintenance then our more traditional looking ferry takes over. We amend our website to show which Ferry will be operating the cruises so you can always check prior to travel.

It was a cold grey day, but a great experience nonetheless. Different seating areas and indoor/outdoor viewing areas.

Took a trip out on the Mersey 16th Feb. Really good but make sure you wrap up warm if your going over the cold months as it will be freezing 🙂
