Next, head to the Old Orhei Archeological Complex, a unique open-air site rich in natural and historical significance. You’ll get to explore the well-known Cave Monastery, the Butuceni Ethnographic Museum from the early 20th century, and the ruins of the Tartar city, Shehr al-Djedid, which date back to the 14th–16th centuries.

I cannot recommend Oleg and this tour enough, 5 stars doesn't feel like we're being grateful for the experience that Oleg provided.
What a wonderful way to explore some of Moldova's rich history, to see some amazing sites, and to try to understand more about this nation. Oleg is an expert in the history and current affairs of his country and surrounding, is incredibly warm, accommodating, and helpful.
He ensured that we had a brilliant day and that we left his company knowing and understanding a lot more about Moldova and the sites we had seen than before the day had begun.
The tour itself immersed us in the rich cultural history of the nation and allowed us to see some truly unique things, it ran like clockwork and we were well looked after.
To have such an expert, and such a friendly guide was a pleasure and I would recommend a tour with Oleg to anyone, and feel that it is a must do when you are in Moldova.

Of course, visiting Cricova Winery was exceptional—it was an incredible opportunity to explore one of Moldova's most famous attractions and enjoy its world-renowned wines. This was a fantastic tour of Curchi, Old Orhei and Cricova thanks to our guide, Oleg. Oleg was amazing. He was on-time, friendly, informative, and fascinating to listen to. We both learned a great deal about Moldova's history and current events. I definitely recommend this tour to anyone wishing to get out of the capital and experience first-hand the wonderful history and culture of the country! Our guide Oleg was friendly and informative. The tour contained a range of places of interest whilst also providing an opportunity to see something of the countryside of Moldova. The cost of the tour was high but no worse than other tours from Chisinau. On balance it was worth the money.
