The gallery is much smaller than I anticipated. The tour is about an hour long. Definitely worth the extra few dollars to have someone as knowledgeable as Claudio guide you. Claudio brought David to life for us. His knowledge and love of the arts make this tour unmissable. I highly recommend it.

Had a wonderful visit to the Academy. Our guide provided excellent background on Michaelangelo and his David as well as Renaissance art/history. She was thorough and engaging even with teenage children in our group. We really enjoyed this tour.
