Warsaw to Rome Vistas (Winter, 10 Days)

Welcome aboard! Say goodbye to Warsaw as we head towards the historic city of Krakow. Known for its rich history, delicious pretzels, and vibrant markets, Krakow will captivate you. We'll start with an included sightseeing tour to cover the basics before you have time to explore local restaurants for a traditional dinner. Rest up, as tomorrow we dive deeper into Krakow's charm.

Good morning, Poland! Today, we delve into Krakow's life, starting with a visit to the infamous Auschwitz concentration camp for a poignant reminder of history. Afterward, return to Krakow for a free afternoon to explore the charming streets, including Kazimierz, the UNESCO-listed Old Town, and the historic Jewish Quarter. An optional Pierogi-making class will keep us entertained into the evening.

We bid farewell to Krakow and head towards Budapest. En route, we'll stop for lunch in the charming Slovakian town of Banska Bystrica. Arriving in Budapest, you'll understand why we needed a couple of nights here. This evening, enjoy a Danube River Cruise with dinner included, gliding across the shimmering river and experiencing the beautiful sights of Budapest.

Ready to explore, we embark on a guided walking tour of Budapest, visiting the Royal Palace, Chain Bridge, and Fisherman’s Bastion. This evening, take your time to explore, perhaps stopping for a drink in a ruin bar in the Jewish Quarter and savoring a delicious Langos.

We leave Budapest behind and set our sights on Austria. Our first stop is a charming town featured in 'The Sound of Music,' where we'll visit the historic town center, a stunning blue lake, and St. Michael’s Basilica. Continuing into the Alps, we arrive in Salzburg, home to Mozart and the iconic Sound of Music scenery. Enjoy an authentic Austrian dinner at a local farm, followed by some schnaps.

Today is dedicated to enjoying Salzburg's many delights. Options include a guided city tour with a local expert to uncover all the wonders, exploring the deep history of classical music, and soaking in the spectacular scenery. In the evening, join the group for a magical dinner.

We say goodbye to Salzburg and continue east to Slovenia. Arriving in Ljubljana, we'll have a walking orientation to get acquainted with our new surroundings. Explore the bohemian art district of Metelkova Mesto or relax by one of Ljubljana's atmospheric watercourses.

Today, we trade the obscure unknown for the globally adored hot spot of Venice. Enjoy a private boat ride, marvel at the gothic architecture, and explore the labyrinth of lanes in this gondola-clad floating city. Feel like you're part of an Italian fairytale!

Farewell, Venice! Our next destination is the Eternal City of Rome. In the afternoon, we uncover Italian icons in the country's capital, experiencing its glory by night. Savor gelato, pizza, and ancient monuments—perfetto!
