Upon your arrival at the airport, you'll be transferred to your hotel in Angra do Heroismo, the oldest city in Azores and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Spend the day exploring the city's rich history, reflected in its beautiful architecture, churches, palaces, mansions, monuments, squares, and gardens.

Embark on a cycling adventure through the Natural Park to the Christmas Cave, a mystic lava tube created by surrounding volcanoes centuries ago. Marvel at the cave's extensive passages, and the different colors and shapes of its walls, ground, and ceiling.

Enjoy a scenic ride along the beautiful coastline, passing through quaint villages such as Sao Mateus, a charming fishing village, and Santa Barbara, which offers breathtaking views over Terceira Island.

Cycle along the coast to Biscoitos, known for its natural pools formed within black lava rocks. Take a refreshing swim before visiting the Biscoitos Wine Museum, where you can learn about the wine-making process and sample local wines produced from the rich porous lava rock.

Devote the day to visiting the Volcano Pit, including the Algar do Carvao, an old volcano and lava tube located in the centre of the island. Marvel at the remarkable silica stalactites hanging from its arched roof. Continue to Lagoa das Patas, a picturesque lake surrounded by azaleas, perfect for a picnic.

Follow the coast to visit Porto Martins and Porto Judeu, both offering beautiful natural pools. Along the way, observe the uninhabited Cabras Islet, an excellent place for snorkelling. The Cave of the Sheep Islet, or the Cave of Stingrays, is a must-see, named after the stingrays that can be observed swimming inside.
