Cycling Portugal - Porto to Lisbon

Your adventure begins in Porto, a city that gracefully straddles the River Douro. The historic center, a UNESCO World Heritage site, lies on the northern bank, while the famous Port Wine lodges are situated along the river in Gaia on the southern side. Arrive at your leisure and join the Tour Leader at 6 PM for a welcome meeting at the hotel reception. Afterward, enjoy an orientation walk and an optional dinner. No cycling today.

After breakfast, ensure your bike is ready for the journey ahead. Begin cycling through downtown Porto, crossing the iconic Luís I Bridge, and follow the Douro River before continuing along the Atlantic Coast to Furadouro. Drive for around one-and-a-half hours to Lisbon, where your Tour Leader will take you on an orientation walk. Spend the afternoon exploring the city at your own pace. Lisbon, resting on seven hills overlooking the River Tagus, is a city rich in history and monumental architecture. Celebrate the end of your journey with a dinner at one of Lisbon's many restaurants, followed by an optional live Fado music performance. Stay overnight in a hotel (or similar) in Lisbon.
