We were a group of 4 from grandma to grandson.
We took the Santa Luzia tour and I feel like he went above and beyond.
Definitely recommended if you want a nice breezy tour to some gorgeous places.
I forgot the gentleman's name but he is so personable.

This experience is not to be missed if you are visiting Tavira. Fantastic guide who is knowledgeable and funny, and is so passionate about the area. It was like a behind the scenes tour, cultural and informative and a comedy show all in one. Highlight of our holiday.

Joao was an absolute gem of a tour guide. He showed up in a spotless open air jeep for our tour. He went out of his way to attend to our needs and customized the time we had together. Because we had already done a city tour of Tavira, Maria's Tuk Tuk suggested combining a visit to Santa Luzia and finishing it off with a visit to a Tapas and Wine Bar. Joao came to our VRBO mid morning and then drove us through some additional sites of Tavira, stopping at one of churches we hadn't seen, and then proceeding out to Santa Luzia. We stopped and looked at the salt lagoons before going to Santa Luzia. On the way we passed by lemon, orange, and avocado groves before going into the fishing village and then being able to mingle with the fisherman who were tending their octopus traps. We then drove back into Tavira where arrangements had been made for us to have lunch. It was all delightful and unhurried to boot. I also appreciated the fact that they encouraged us to keep in touch should we need any additional information during our stay in Tavira. I highly recommend.

Excellent tour given by João! Knowledgeable and friendly, João went out of his way to answer all of our questions. The salt pans in Ria Formosa were very interesting, where we learned about salt harvesting, sea asparagus and flamingos. Santa Luzia was beautiful and saw a few different kinds of octopus traps, stopping at the oldest olive tree in the Algarve on the way back. Highly recommend this tour and João!

We did the booking online the same day on the company website. Didn’t get e time and meeting place. But when we called to ask when and where, we were picked up 15 minutes later in the centre of Tavira.
The tour was great and a good way to see some of surrounding areas with out getting into a car.
