Today, we delve into the heart of Lisbon, visiting the traditional neighborhoods including the Belem district, known as the birthplace of the great Portuguese navigators. Marvel at the Monument of the Discoveries, Belem Tower, and the stunning Jeronimos Monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Enjoy a free afternoon to explore at your leisure. In the late afternoon, we head to the bustling Restauradores Square, filled with restaurants and cafes. We recommend a ride on the Elevador Da Gloria funicular to the viewpoint of San Pedro for breathtaking views over Lisbon and the Bairro Alto.

We set off north to the spiritual sanctuary of Fatima, an important pilgrimage site. Our journey continues through the verdant landscapes of central Portugal, crossing into Spain and the lush grasslands of North Extremadura. A regional cuisine lunch is included en route. We arrive in Madrid towards the end of the day, where we head to the bustling Plaza Mayor, filled with typical taverns for you to explore.

We start the day with a comprehensive tour of Madrid, taking in the Paseo del Prado, Cibeles, Neptuno, the Gate of Alcalá, Plaza de Colón, and Plaza Mayor. We then visit the tranquil Retiro Park, where you can see the lake and the Glass Palace. Next, we explore the Las Ventas Bullring and its Bullfighting Museum to learn about the tradition of the 'corridas'. Enjoy the rest of the afternoon at your leisure. As the sun sets, we head to Plaza de Oriente, opposite the Royal Palace, where you can choose from a variety of restaurants serving local Spanish food, international cuisine, and Chinese dishes.
Day 5 – Day 5: Madrid to Barcelona via Zaragoza, Poblet, and Montserrat

We leave Madrid for Aragón, stopping briefly in Zaragoza to see the Pilar Basilica. We continue to the Monastery of Poblet, one of the best-preserved medieval monasteries in the world (entrance included). We then proceed to the Monastery of Montserrat, where you'll ride a rack train up the mountain to enjoy fantastic scenery. We end the day in Barcelona, arriving in the late afternoon. Note: In winter, we may skip the Monastery of Poblet to reach Montserrat during daylight.

We start the day with a city tour of Barcelona, exploring its famous Ramblas and the architectural masterpieces of Gaudi. After some free time, we head north to the charming city of Girona. Take a stroll through its beautiful historical center, admire the colorful houses, the old Jewish quarter, and the Cathedral.
Day 7 – Day 7: From Girona to Chambery via Arles

We leave for France, crossing the beautiful region of Provence. Our first stop is Arles, a UNESCO World Heritage city known for its Roman theatre and small Romanesque churches. After a stroll and lunch, we visit the Carrieres de Lumiere, an impressive underground art, image, and sound show. We end the day in Chambery, the charming capital of Savoie, known for its beautiful old town and impressive castle.

We travel to Switzerland, arriving in Geneva where we visit the Palace of Nations, the English Garden with its flower clock, and admire the Jet d'Eau, the tallest fountain in Europe. We then visit the picturesque village of Gruyere, famous for its cheese. After lunch, we visit the Cailler chocolate factory for a tasting. We continue to Chillon Castle, a fantastic medieval castle built in the waters of the lake. We end the day in Leysin, a beautiful holiday village with spectacular views. Dinner is included.

Today's journey takes us through beautiful high mountain scenery. We include a cable car ride up to Glacier 3000 where you can walk on the suspended bridge between two mountain peaks, enter the Ice Cathedral, or play in the Fun Park. We stop in Interlaken for lunch, then continue to Lucerne, one of the most beautiful cities in Switzerland. We end the day in Zurich, where there is time for a stroll downtown before heading to the hotel.

We embark on a scenic journey to Bern, the capital city of Switzerland, built around a bend in the Aare River. Its well-preserved medieval architecture in the Old Town is a sight to behold. After some time to explore, we journey back to France, enjoying beautiful lake views on our trip to Paris, where we arrive in the evening.

We start the day early with a visit to Versailles, the grand palace of the kings of France. Afterward, we return to Paris and head to the Montmartre district. Ascend by funicular to the top of the hill to admire the spectacular view of Paris. This neighborhood is known for its painters, artists, and cabarets. Enjoy lunch in this magical atmosphere. In the afternoon, we embark on a scenic guided tour to discover the history, main boulevards, and breathtaking monuments of Paris.
