Day 1 – Day 1: Welcome to Tavira

Our adventure begins in the charming town of Tavira. Our hotel (or similar) offers stunning views of the town and river from its rooftop bar and pool area. Arrive at your leisure and join our welcome meeting at 7 PM. If you arrive early, take the opportunity to explore Tavira's cobbled streets, tiled houses, and enjoy alfresco dining.

Today, we venture through Tavira's old town to the coastal marshlands of Rio Formosa Estuarine National Park. Witness flamingos and other wildlife before crossing to Ilha de Tavira. Stroll along Praia dos Barrills, known for its anchor 'graveyard', and return by boat. In the afternoon, explore Tavira further, including the historic Roman Bridge.
Day 3 – Day 3: Journey to Azinhal and Castro Marim

We drive to Azinhal and walk along the Guadiana River to Odeleite. Afterward, we head to Castro Marim to explore the Templar Castle and enjoy a coffee with views into Spain. We return to Tavira by taxi. Today's walk covers 13 kilometers with gentle ascents and descents.

We walk from our hotel along the river, passing through bamboo and lemon orchards to reach the Pego do Inferno waterfall. Depending on the season, you may have the chance to swim. We return to the hotel by taxi. In the evening, try a traditional Cataplana seafood stew.

We drive to São Brás de Alportel, the heart of Algarve's cork production. Walk through wooded hills and cork oak forests, learning about traditional methods. Return to São Brás to explore the old town before heading back to Tavira.
