Day Tour to Chinchón, Aranjuez and Toledo from Madrid

Very nice tour with guidance, very polite and friendly personnel, something totally different from Madrid travels you to medieval times.

Sara has been an excellent tourist guide, so we are enjoyed all day tour. We really appreciate the knowledge to explain us.

Looking to book a day trip out of Madrid we chose this one for a few reasons.

1/ It picked up & dropped off right outside our hotel.

2/ Seemed a bargain for what we paid.

9 am coach arrived and we were met by our guide for the day. He explained in English and Spanish what we could expect from the trip and gave us lots of info during our journey. Well I think he did. He had this speaker around his neck and sat in the front jump seat so we could hardly hear a word.

First stop was Chinchon. Taken to the centre of town and told 'see you back here in 1 hour'. Very little info on what to look at.

Next stop was the royal palace at Aranjuez. This was a joke as we rushed through the rooms overtaking other tour guides. Got a feeling the guide was on a time limit.

Final stop was Toledo. Our guide took us through the back streets, and I mean back streets, to some shop. Occasional stop to say something about a restaurant or other. And then he left us. Be back at the bus stop at a certain time. We wandered around Toledo finding some lovely streets and seeing other tour guides explaining all about them. We wondered why our guide rushed us through empty back streets and then left us. Back at the coach stop on time we were met by another tour guide who seemed a lot better. Explained we were to join up with other coaches to return home but would get a tour of Toledo by coach for some pictures. Wow, stopped for some pictures on the road leaving town.

Tour was great, visited some nice places, just wish we had a better guide.

Well my personal opinion ...this day trip was no as expected...the time in Chinchon was too short only to walk a couple of street . Aranjuez also only the Real House and then Toledo where we stay 4 hour without any guide ...sorry too long journey without any sense ...dissapoint

The places we visited are worth seeing-- I just wouldn't do it with this company again. Driver didn't know where he was going in Chinchon, so we drove around in circles. Many of the audio devices that have to be used in the palace at Aranjuez were completed discharged and others didn't work even though they were charged. It ended up there weren't enough good ones to go around, so my husband ended up with one the worked off and on. The bus wouldn't start after leaving Aranjuez and neither the driver nor guide seemed to know what to do. If it hadn't been for a resourceful policeman, we'd probably still be there in Aranjuez. Because of the issue at the bus, we were an hour late getting to Toledo, which meant there wasn't time to do all we had planned there. Then, because of an event taking place the next day, they left us off at the train/metro station. The guide was helpful giving routing directions, but once we got down into the Metro, many of us had difficulty figuring out the ticketing kiosk.
