Etna by Jeep: Exploring Craters and Lava Caves and Etna Wines

This was one of the greatest decisions I've ever made. It was an incredible day and experience! Alessandro was wonderful, and so knowledgeable. His love for Etna and passion for teaching others about her was evident. We had a great time and learned so much. I highly recommended this adventure. You'll never forget it.

I wasn't sure what to do on a stop in Messina... if you are debating, just stop now and book this! We had a such a great time and our guide, Alessandro, was wonderful. We were mixed fitness levels and he made sure we all had a great experience (including those of us in the more adventurous category). We went places on Mt Etna that no one else was going, he provided wonderful explanations, and he made sure he knew when we needed to get back and delivered us just as promised. The wine tasting was also wonderful--not just Etna wine, but also some regional treats (honey, olives, sweet garlic, and olive oil). I really could not say enough wonderful things--I don't often want to just repeat a tour, but I would do this one again!

My friend and I absolutely loved this tour! Alessandro was generous, kind, knowledgeable, and adventurous. We got to do wine tasting, olive oil tasting, explore a lava tube and crater, and learn all of the history of Sicily and Mount Etna. It was full of great surprises, a lot of laughter, and so much joy! We highly recommend.

Alessandro assisted by Matteo were great! Alessandro is simply passionate about everything having to do with My Etna. Through a short hike, he will explain specific details about the volcano history, types of rocks, vegetation, caverns etc. They stopped to show / explain the chestnut hunting phenomenon. Finally two interesting stops at honey transforming places. Nice touch!

This was such an incredible experience. Walking on a volcano is something you never imagine you’ll do. Our guide, Alessandro, made it even better. He was very knowledgeable, accommodating and engaging. I would recommend this tour and Alessandro for anyone looking to explore Mt Etna and the surrounding area.

We were worried about weather being way too hot for doing such and activity, but it turns out the mountains are the best place to be while it's +35C near the sea :)

The whole tour took 1/2 of the day and was extremely beautiful and informative.

Alessandro made tons of pictures of us, which is super nice because it's normally not easy to make such photos while traveling as a couple.

Wine/cheese/olive tasting was a nice finishing touch.

We are now charged with energy both to return to Etna and see more of it, and also visit other volcanoes with a guide of matching professionalism.

Alessandro wS exceptionally informative. He went out of his way to make sure we had a great time- often volunteered to take pictures and knows and shares Mt Etna history with incredible passion.
