Photo tour of unrevealed Macedonia

We start our journey from the International Skopje Airport, heading towards the renowned Macedonian wine region, Tikvesh. Our destination is the town of Demir Kapija, where we'll stay at the Popova Kula Winery hotel (or similar). Here, we'll learn about the wine-making process and the different varieties of wine. We'll also explore the vineyards and the town, mingling with locals and learning about their culture and traditions. The day concludes with a delightful dinner featuring local wine, cheese, and meat dishes.

After breakfast, we set off for Lake Dojran, a vibrant ecosystem teeming with life. We'll capture stunning photos of the fishermen's huts and boats, and learn about the unique fishing methods used here. Our journey continues to the city of Strumica, where we'll visit the breathtaking Kolesino waterfalls. In the afternoon, we'll head to the village of Gabrovo, known for its pepper production. Here, we'll join local farmers in the fields, picking fresh produce and cooking a traditional Macedonian meal. We'll end the day back at Popova Kula, enjoying more excellent wine and food.

We leave the wine region behind and head to Bitola. Along the way, we'll stop at the Pelagonia plane for a photo session. In Bitola, we'll enjoy a coffee break before exploring the Old Bazaar or taking a guided tour of the ancient town and archaeological site of Heraclea Lyncestis. In the late afternoon, we'll arrive in Dihovo, a charming village nestled in the foothills of Mountain Baba and National Park Pelister. Here, a local beekeeper will introduce us to the fascinating world of honeybees. We'll end the day with a home-cooked meal and drinks in a traditional villa, using organic ingredients from the family's private gardens.

Today, we'll explore the stunning landscapes of Pelister National Park. We'll use an off-road vehicle to reach the Pelister lakes and observe the natural phenomenon known as rocky rivers. The park offers breathtaking views of the Pelagonia Plane, Bitola, Lake Prespa, and Galichica Mountain. After a day of exploration, we'll return to Dihovo for a well-deserved dinner.

We start the day heading to Kuratica, a village on the outskirts of Ohrid. Here, we'll enjoy traditional Macedonian cuisine, homemade wine, and rakia. We'll also experience a short donkey safari around the village. In the afternoon, we'll drive to Ohrid, a historic city known for its wealth of ancient sites and religious monuments. We'll explore the old part of the town, ending at the iconic St. John of Kaneo church, a perfect spot for a sunset photo shoot. We'll return to the city center by boat, leaving the evening free for your own exploration.
