This tour far exceeded all of our expectations.
The first and foremost plus was our driver and guide, Alex. He was incredibly personable and just as knowledgeable. What made it that much better was that Alex is very savy about touring and tourists. He knew the best time to arrive at a site for the best access. Because he knows travelers so well he anticipated all our needs and desires..
Secondly, Transylvania is enchanting and beautiful. What we saw and learned that all the tours books are wrong. We saw nothing negative at all.
Finally, the Halloween party at Bran Castle was a blast. We had a great tour of the castle from Diana, Alex's colleague that included black vodka shots, blood wine and photo ops with castle celebs: Vlad, Count Dracula, and Transylvanian spirits; fireworks, light show on the castle facade, and finally the party in a tent.
We will definitely return to Romania and will use Unzip Romania Travel for tours.
