8 days: 3 Countries Wine and Culture Trip to Moldova, Transnistria and Romania Country

Kick off your journey with a well-organized city tour of Bucharest. In the evening, savor a delightful dinner paired with a tasting of Romanian wines, accompanied by a presentation about vineyards and a chat with a professional sommelier. Rest for the night at the NH 4* Hotel (or similar) in downtown Bucharest.

After breakfast, depart for the Carpathians. Visit the majestic Peles Castle in Sinaia, the summer residence of Romanian kings. Enjoy lunch and a sparkling wine tasting at the Rhein & Azuga Cellars, a royal supplier between the two World Wars. Explore the famous Bran Castle, associated with the Dracula legend. Arrive in Brasov and check into a 3 - 4* hotel (or similar).

Depart early for Sighisoara, the most beautiful medieval citadel in Eastern Europe. En route, visit the Fagaras fortress and the fortified churches of Cincusor, Cincu, and Agnita. Enjoy a special lunch featuring traditional Romanian dishes. Upon arrival in Sighisoara, embark on a city tour, including the Clock Tower, Vlad the Impaler's House, the Wooden Covered Staircase, and the Hill Church. Overnight at a 3* or 4* hotel (or similar).

After breakfast, journey through the breathtaking Bicaz Gorges in the Eastern Carpathian Mountains. Sighisoara's rich history dates back to Roman times, and its well-preserved 16th-century architecture is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Continue to Iasi, a significant historical, economic, and cultural center in northeast Romania. Overnight in Iasi.

Start the day with a city tour of Iasi, visiting the Metropolitan Cathedral, the Culture Palace, the Golia Monastery, and the Trei Ierarhi Church. Iasi was the capital of Moldova in the 16th century and of Romania during World War I. Depart for the Republic of Moldova around 9:00 and check into a hotel in Chisinau.

After breakfast, visit the Branesti Winery, one of the best wineries in the center of the Republic of Moldova. Enjoy lunch in a peasant house and explore the museum complex of Old Orhei. Visit the Cricova Winery, one of Europe's largest underground wine cities, before returning to Chisinau for a city tour by night. Overnight at a 4* hotel (or similar) in Chisinau.

Today, discover Tiraspol, the capital of Transnistria, where the old USSR is still alive. During the city tour, stop at different monuments and, if time allows, visit the museum dedicated to the Transnistrian conflict. Enjoy a tasting of different types of caviar in a local sturgeon complex. Optionally, visit the Milesti Mici Winery.

Transfer to the airport for your departure home, or continue your journey to Ukraine, Odessa.
