Upon your arrival at the airport, you'll be transferred to your hotel. In the evening, join us for a welcome dinner and get a good night's sleep in preparation for the exciting journey ahead.
Day 2 – Day 2: Parliament Palace and Peles Castle

After breakfast, we'll visit the Parliament Palace, the world's second-largest building by surface area. We'll then drive to Sinaia, known as 'The Pearl of the Carpathians,' where we'll explore the stunning Peles Castle. We'll end the day in the medieval city of Brasov, where you'll enjoy dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3 – Day 3: Brasov, Bran, Sighisoara, and Sibiu

We'll start the day with a city tour of Brasov, visiting the Black Church, the main Gothic style monument in the country. We'll then drive to Bran to explore Dracula's Castle before heading to Sighisoara, a UNESCO city, where we'll visit the Citadel. On our way to Sibiu, we'll stop in Biertan, known for its fortified churches. We'll end the day in Sibiu, the biggest medieval city in Romania.
Day 4 – Day 4: Sibiu City Tour and Journey to Bucharest

We'll explore Sibiu, visiting the Evangelical Church, the Council Tower, and the Brukenthal Palace. After soaking in the city's rich history and culture, we'll depart through the Carpathian Mountains to Bucharest, passing through the Oltului Valley, Romania's most spectacular river valley.
Day 5 – Day 5: From Bucharest to Veliko Tarnovo via Ruse

We'll set off to Ruse, Bulgaria's first European-style city, also known as 'little Vienna.' From there, we'll drive to Veliko Tarnovo via Ivanovo, where we'll visit the UNESCO-listed Rock Churches. We'll end the day in Veliko Tarnovo, the old capital of Bulgaria.
Day 6 – Day 6: Veliko Tarnovo, Kazanlak, and Plovdiv

We'll start the day with a city tour of Veliko Tarnovo, visiting the historical hill Tsarevets with the Fortress. We'll then set off to Kazanlak, the capital of the valley of Roses and Thracian kings. We'll visit the Ethnographical Complex 'Damascene' and the Thracian Kazanlak Tomb, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We'll end the day in Plovdiv, Europe's Capital of Culture for 2019.
Day 7 – Day 7: Plovdiv and Rila Monastery

We'll explore the old part of Plovdiv, visiting the Ethnographical Museum, the St. Constantine and Elena church, the Antique Theatre, and the Roman Stadium. We'll then depart to the Rila Monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in a picturesque mountain area. We'll end the day in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria.

We'll spend the day exploring Sofia, one of the oldest cities in Europe. We'll visit the Alexander Nevski Cathedral, the Royal Palace, the St. Sofia Church, and the antique Roman theatre. In the afternoon, you'll have free time to explore the city at your own pace.
