Your 4-day Islay and Campbeltown whisky adventure kicks off as you bid farewell to Edinburgh. Journey westward through the scenic Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park and Argyll, making a brief stop in the quaint village of Inveraray. Continue down the Kintyre Peninsula to Kennacraig, where you'll board a ferry to Islay. Enjoy breathtaking views of Gigha, Jura, and Islay during the crossing. Upon arrival, visit the Bunnahabhain Distillery for a tour and tasting, followed by a stop at the Islay Whisky Vault. Conclude your day with a short drive to Bowmore for a 2-night stay at The Bowmore House (or similar).

Immerse yourself in the rich whisky heritage of Islay on day two. Start with a visit to the historic Bowmore Distillery, followed by tours and tastings at the renowned southern distilleries: Laphroaig, Lagavulin, and Ardbeg. Enjoy exclusive tastings and learn about the unique processes at each distillery. Your guide will also introduce you to some of Islay's hidden gems, including secluded beaches, charming villages, and the ancient Kildalton Cross. Return to Bowmore for another restful night at The Bowmore House (or similar).

After a hearty breakfast in Bowmore, catch the morning ferry back to Kennacraig and head towards Campbeltown, once the 'whisky capital of the world.' Begin your exploration with a tour and tasting at Glen Scotia Distillery, followed by a visit to the family-owned Springbank Distillery. Learn about the intricate whisky-making process and sample some of their finest drams. Conclude your day with an overnight stay at the historic Stonefield Castle (or similar), set in 60 acres of woodland gardens with stunning views of Loch Fyne.

Begin your final day with a leisurely start before traveling to the picturesque loch-side town of Inveraray. Visit the Loch Fyne Whisky Shop and enjoy a lunch stop. Continue your journey along the scenic shores of Loch Fyne and Loch Long, ascending to the Rest and Be Thankful pass for breathtaking views. Pause at Loch Lomond to take in the beautiful scenery before crossing the River Clyde and entering Glasgow. Some guests may depart here, with a brief stop in central Glasgow (George Square), before returning to Edinburgh.
