Starting from the historic city of Edinburgh, we venture into the heart of the Highlands, exploring the rich history and culture of this stunning region. Our journey takes us to the Victorian town of Oban, the seafood capital of Scotland, and the ancient landscapes of Kilmartin Glen. We then set sail for the enchanting island of Islay, home to picturesque beaches, charming villages, and world-renowned distilleries. Our adventure concludes with a visit to the loch-side town of Inveraray and the majestic Loch Lomond. This tour offers a perfect blend of history, culture, natural beauty, and the finest Scotch whiskies.

Daily Itinerary
Day 1 – Day 1: Edinburgh to Bowmore
Day 1: Edinburgh to Bowmore
We depart from Edinburgh and make our first stop in the quaint town of Callander for a quick coffee break. We then journey into the Highlands, passing through the scenic Loch Awe and Argyllshire. Our next stop is Oban, where we tour the famous Oban distillery and enjoy a tasting session. After lunch, we explore the ancient landscapes of Kilmartin Glen before heading to Kennacraig to board the ferry to Islay. On arrival, we check into The Bowmore House or Island Bear (or similar) for a 3-night stay.
Day 2 – Day 2: Exploring Islay
Day 2: Exploring Islay
We spend the day exploring the beautiful island of Islay, known for its stunning beaches, charming villages, and ancient sites. Our guide will share their favourite spots, including the Kildalton Cross and medieval strongholds. We also visit several of the island's famous distilleries, including Lagavulin, Laphroaig, Ardbeg, Kilchoman, Bunnahabhain, Caol Ila, Ardnahoe, Bowmore and Bruichladdich.
Day 3 – Day 3: More of Islay
Day 3: More of Islay
We continue our exploration of Islay, visiting more distilleries and sampling their unique whiskies. Our guide will also take us to some of the island's hidden gems, including secluded beaches and traditional cultures. We end the day with a hearty dinner and another night at our accommodation in Bowmore.
Day 4 – Day 4: Final Day on Islay

Our last day on Islay is filled with more distillery visits and sightseeing. We take in the natural beauty of the island and enjoy the local wildlife. After a full day of exploration, we return to our accommodation in Bowmore for a final night.
Day 5 – Day 5: Bowmore to Edinburgh via Inveraray and Glasgow

We bid farewell to Islay and catch the morning ferry back to Kennacraig. On the mainland, we head to Inveraray, the seat of the Clan Campbell and home to the Loch Fyne Whisky shop. After lunch and some whisky shopping, we journey along the shores of Loch Fyne and Loch Long before climbing up to the Rest and Be Thankful pass for sweeping views. We then visit Loch Lomond before crossing the River Clyde and into Glasgow. We make a short stop in central Glasgow before returning to Edinburgh, marking the end of our unforgettable tour.
