Day 1 – Day 1: Edinburgh to Inverness

Our journey begins in the historic city of Edinburgh, from where we head north to our first stop, the Kelpies. These majestic steel sculptures of Clydesdale horses are a sight to behold. As we continue our journey, we'll pass by Stirling Castle and Doune Castle, both rich in history and featured in popular TV shows like Outlander and Game of Thrones. We'll then venture into the breathtaking landscape of Glen Coe and, if the weather permits, catch a glimpse of Ben Nevis. Our day ends at Loch Ness, where you might spot the elusive Loch Ness Monster. We'll spend the night in the charming city of Inverness, where you can explore local cuisine and live music.
Day 2 – Day 2: Inverness to Stornoway

We start our day with a breath of fresh Highland air at Corrieshalloch Gorge before embarking on a scenic drive to Ullapool. From there, we'll catch a ferry to Stornoway on the Isle of Lewis, keeping an eye out for dolphins along the way. Upon arrival, we'll visit the world-renowned Harris Distillery for a taste of their fine spirits. We'll then return to the north of the island for an overnight stay in the bustling town of Stornoway.

Our third day is dedicated to exploring the Isle of Lewis. We'll step back in time at the mysterious Callanish Standing Stones and the Iron Age broch of Dun Carloway. We'll also visit the Gearrannan Blackhouse Village to get a glimpse of 17th-century island life. Our journey will take us along the wild Atlantic coast to the most northerly point on the island, The Butt of Lewis. Back in Stornoway, you can enjoy a leisurely stroll around the harbour and sample fresh seafood at a local restaurant.

We depart from Stornoway and spend the day exploring the fairy-tale beaches and a medieval church on the Isle of Harris. We'll then catch a ferry 'over the sea to Skye', where we'll spend the next two nights in the picturesque town of Portree.

Our fifth day is all about the magic of Skye. We'll start with a stop at Sligachan for stunning views of the old bridge and the Cuillin mountain range. We'll then visit the iconic Eilean Donan Castle before returning to Portree for lunch. In the afternoon, we'll explore the Trotternish peninsula, home to the famous Old Man of Storr and Kilt Rock.

On our final day, we'll explore more of Skye before taking a ferry to the quaint fishing village of Mallaig. Here, you'll have the option to board the Jacobite Steam Train, famously known as the 'Hogwarts Express', for a scenic journey to Fort William. We'll then continue our journey south through the Cairngorms National Park, arriving back in Edinburgh in the evening.
