Day 1 – Day 1: Scotland's Capital to Morag's Lodge

Our journey begins in Scotland's capital, from where we cross the iconic Forth Road Bridge. We then venture through Macbeth country to the historic Dunkeld Cathedral. A visit to a Highland whisky distillery offers a chance to learn about the production of Scotland's most famous drink. We then explore the ancient Clava Cairns and the Culloden Battlefield, the inspiration behind Outlander. Our journey continues through Inverness, the Highland capital, and along the full length of Loch Ness, where we might catch a glimpse of the legendary beast. We end the day at Morag's Lodge, a cozy hostel known for its Highland hospitality, located on the shores of Loch Ness.

Our second day begins with a visit to the Dundreggan Rewilding Centre, where we learn about the mission of the Trees for Life charity to rewild Scotland's ancient Caledonian Forest. We then pass by the most photographed castle in Scotland, Eilean Donan Castle, before reaching our main destination, the Isle of Skye. This island is renowned for its stunning landscapes, ruined castles, and fascinating faerie stories. We explore the dramatic Cuillin Mountains, the Old Man of Storr, and Kilt Rock with its cascading waterfall. After a day filled with breathtaking views and intriguing tales, we return to Morag's Lodge for the night.

On the final day of our tour, we leave the Great Glen and pass under the shadow of Ben Nevis, Britain's highest mountain. Our journey takes us through the stunning Glen Coe, a backdrop in Skyfall and the Harry Potter movies, and the site of the 1692 MacDonald Clan massacre. We traverse the Rannoch Moor, one of Europe's last remaining wildernesses, and pass by Stirling, known for its bloody battles in the Wars of Independence. We stop at the Kelpies, the world's largest horse sculpture, before returning to Edinburgh in the early evening, concluding our epic three-day adventure.
