Hiking on Juliana Trail, Self Guided

Start your day with a hearty breakfast before setting off on a trail from the popular paragliding site, Kobala nad Tolminom. Follow the Soča River through the sunny villages of Gabrje and Volarje, and cross the small Volarja River in Selišče. Walk through the fairy forests and ancient moss-covered walls between Kamen and the Church of St Lawrence. Your day ends in Kobarid, a city with a rich World War I history. Visit the Kobarid Museum to learn more about the events that occurred during the war on the Soška fronta - Isonzo Front.

After breakfast, embark on a journey from Kobarid to Bovec. Witness the dramatic change in the valley's landscape as you follow the wild stream of the Soča River. Experience the thrill of kayaking in the section between Kobarid and Trnovo, and rafting in the upper part between Trnovo and the Boka Waterfall. Bovec, the tourist heart of the valley, is your final destination for the day. This city is the strongest Slovenian centre of all possible outdoor activities in nature.

Day four begins with a shuttle service taking you from Bovec to Log pod Mangartom. Hike through the steep Predilce gorge, visit two waterfalls, and enjoy the view of the Predil fortress. Descend to the lake for a romantic walk or a summer swim before continuing to Cave del Predil. Explore the remains of the machinery from the lead and zinc mine that operated until 1991 and visit the museum featuring the miners from Log pod Mangartom.
