Welcome to Slovenia! Upon your arrival in Ljubljana, you'll be transferred to your hotel, Hotel Park (or similar), where you can freshen up and relax. The rest of the day is yours to explore the area around your hotel at your leisure. You'll meet your group and guide tomorrow morning.

After breakfast, we'll embark on a leisurely walking tour of Ljubljana. We'll explore the city's main sites along the Ljubljanica River, including the scenic Tivoli Park and Ljubljana Castle. Enjoy lunch in a central restaurant and soak up the relaxed vibe of this small capital city.

Today, we'll journey to Bohinj Lake, the largest glacial lake in Slovenia, located in the Triglav National Park. We'll walk to Mostnica Gorge, marveling at its stunning waterfalls and pools. Then, we'll travel to Bled, a famous winter resort, where we'll visit Bled Island and Bled Castle. We'll also enjoy a boat ride and a gentle walk up to Ojstrica for panoramic views of the lake and town.

We'll leave the city behind and head into the stunning Julian Alps for a day of walking. We'll start with a 5km walk from Vrsic to Slemenova Spica, offering wonderful views of the surrounding landscapes. After lunch, we'll transfer to the Mlinarica Valley and follow a path along the Soca River. We'll end the day in Bovec, a bustling town known for its outdoor activities and historical sites.

Today, we'll embark on the scenic Walk of Peace, a historic trail that was a major front in the First World War. We'll follow the Koritnica River and explore the dramatic Kluze Gorge. We'll also visit the Fortress Kluze, a defense stronghold built in the 15th Century.

We'll transfer from Bovec to Zaga for a walk alongside the Soca River to Kobarid. There's also an option to do some water sports before the walk. Kobarid is a quaint town with a Mediterranean feel, known for being the site of the 12th Battle of Caporetto/Izonzo during World War I.
Day 7 – Day 7: Sabotin Hill Peace Park and Smartno

Today, we'll head south from Bovec to the Brda region, stopping at Sabotin Hill Peace Park for incredible views over both Italy and Slovenia. We'll also enjoy a wine tasting at a local Brda vineyard, known for its top-quality wines. We'll end the day in the beautiful village of Smartno, surrounded by vineyards.

We'll start the day by visiting the Monument of Peace at Cerje, built to preserve the memory of all defenders of the Slovenian land. Then, we'll explore the UNESCO heritage Skocjan Caves, an exceptional limestone cave system. We'll end the day in the coastal town of Piran, renowned for its red-tiled roofs and Venetian architecture.

Today, we'll transfer as a group back to Ljubljana airport for your flight home. If you wish, you can extend your trip with a couple of extra days in the coastal town of Piran.
