11-Day Tour from Barcelona to Porto, Lisbon and Fatima

Welcome to the start of your exciting journey! Upon arrival at the airport, you will be transferred to your hotel, the Hesperia President (or similar). The rest of the day is yours to relax and settle in.

After breakfast at the hotel, embark on a morning city tour of Barcelona. Drive along the main avenues, marveling at Gaudi's impressive modernist buildings such as La Pedrera and Casa Milá. Visit the Montjuïc Park for spectacular views of the city and harbor. The highlight of the day is a visit to the iconic Sagrada Familia. The afternoon is at your leisure. Overnight at the Hesperia President (or similar).

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the train station for a high-speed train journey to Madrid. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel, the Hyatt Regency Madrid (or similar), where you will spend the night.

After breakfast, discover the beauties of Madrid with a guided city tour. Explore the historic Barrio de la Morería, the Hapsburgs District, Plaza Mayor, and Plaza de la Villa. Marvel at the Royal Palace, Cibeles and Neptuno Fountains, and the Puerta de Alcalá. Experience the contemporary Madrid with areas such as Gran Vía, Castellana, and the district of Salamanca. In the afternoon, enjoy some leisure time to continue exploring the city. Join your fellow travelers for an authentic Welcome Tapas Dinner. Overnight at the Hyatt Regency Madrid (or similar).

After breakfast, we set off for Portugal, driving towards Salamanca. Enjoy some free time in this University City and World Heritage Site of great architectural and artistic wealth. Continue to the Portuguese border to reach Porto, one of the oldest European towns, and proclaimed a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1996. Overnight at the BessaHotel Boavista / Vila Galé Porto (or similar).

After breakfast, embark on a guided sightseeing tour of Porto. Admire the Cathedral, Stock Exchange building, and Santa Clara church. Enjoy a Douro River Cruise and discover the famous Port Wine Cellars with a wine tasting experience included. The rest of the day is at your leisure. Overnight at the BessaHotel Boavista / Vila Galé Porto (or similar).

After breakfast, we depart to Coimbra, one of the oldest universities in Europe and the birthplace of Fado. Enjoy some free time here before continuing to Fatima, a center of the Christian Faith and World Pilgrimage Sanctuary. Visit the impressive Basilica and the Cova da Iria, where the Virgin Mary appeared. At night, you have the option to attend the procession of the candles. Overnight at the Santa María / Aurea / Regina / Estrela (or similar).

After breakfast, we depart to the Batalha Monastery, a masterpiece of Gothic and Manueline style considered a World Heritage place by UNESCO. Continue to the picturesque fishing town of Nazaré. After some free time, we continue to Alcobaça, a World Heritage site with its Gothic church and Cistercian monastery. We then proceed to Lisbon. Overnight at the Lutécia (or similar).

After breakfast, join a morning city sightseeing of the ancient Olissipo. Drive through its main squares and avenues, Belem Tower, Jeronimos Monastery, Monument to the Discoverers, Marquis of Pombal Square & Liberty Avenue. Afternoon at leisure for you to catch the nostalgic corners of Alfama Quarter, the old city gathered next to its Castle. Join your fellow travelers and enjoy a typical Portuguese dinner visiting one of the oldest Fado venues in the city. Overnight at the Lutécia (or similar).

After breakfast, we depart to Caceres, a World Heritage place known for its blend of Roman, Islamic, Northern Gothic and Italian Renaissance architecture. Enjoy a walk through its Plaza Mayor and the Old Town with its famous Medieval Quarter. Continue to Madrid. Overnight at the Hyatt Regency Madrid (or similar).
