Day 1 – Day 1: Sarria

Welcome to the first day of your unforgettable adventure! Sarria is renowned as the starting point for the last 100 km of the French Camino de Santiago. Here, you'll encounter many fellow pilgrims preparing for their journey. Take this day to rest well and prepare your gear, as the Camino begins tomorrow.
Day 2 – Day 2: Sarria to Portomarín

Your adventure begins today! Starting from Sarria, you'll embark on a 22 km journey, passing through charming towns like Ferreira and Lavandeira. The route is manageable and can be completed in 4 to 5 hours. Upon reaching Portomarín, make sure to visit the Church of San Nicolás de Portomarín, a historical site rebuilt stone by stone. Rest well at your designated accommodation, and remember, your backpack transport service is included to ease your journey.

After a restful night and a hearty breakfast, prepare for a 24 km trek that will take approximately 5 to 6 hours. The journey includes a climb to Sierra de Ligonde at km 13, followed by a gradual descent. Upon reaching Palas de Rei, take time to recharge at various supply points. If you have energy left, a visit to the Castillo de Pambre is highly recommended. Rest at your designated accommodation for the night.

Today, brace yourself for a 29 km journey, the longest and most challenging stage of the tour. Known as the 'leg breaker' stage, it features numerous hills and descents, taking about 6 to 7 hours to complete. At km 15, make a stop in Melide to enjoy traditional pastries and gastronomy. Upon reaching Arzúa, savor the delicious Arzúa-Ulloa cheese and stamp your credential at the Church of Santiago de Arzúa. Rest well at your accommodation.
Day 5 – Day 5: Arzúa to O Pedrouzo
Day 5: Arzúa to O Pedrouzo
The end of your Camino de Santiago Clásico is near. After a well-deserved rest and a nutritious breakfast, prepare for a 19 km journey. From Arzúa to Santiago, the distance is 40 km, so it's advisable to split this route into two, stopping at Santa Irene, Rúa, or O Pedrouzo. This section is relatively easy and can be completed in about 4 hours. In Santa Irene, you'll find hostels; in Rúa, bars, pensions, and rural houses; and in O Pedrouzo, all necessary services. The last 2 km from Rúa to O Pedrouzo are on the asphalt N-547, a change from the usual rural roads.

Congratulations, you've reached the final day of your adventure! Today, you'll cover 21 km, a journey that takes about 4 to 5 hours. Upon reaching Monte do Gozo at km 15, you'll catch your first glimpse of the Cathedral's towers. After walking the last 4 km, you'll arrive in Santiago, crossing the Porta do Camino and the old town before entering the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela. Visit the Pilgrim’s Office on Rúa das Carretas 33 to stamp your credential and obtain your Compostela and optional Distance Certificate.
