Today, we tackle the longest stage of our journey, covering 29 km from Palas de Rei to Arzúa. Known as the 'leg-breaker' stage due to its challenging profile, this route connects with pilgrims from the Camino del Norte and Camino Primitivo. Make a brief stop in Melide at km 15 to enjoy traditional pastries and gastronomy. In Arzúa, taste the delicious cheese with the Arzúa-Ulloa Designation of Origin and stamp your credentials at the Church of Santiago de Arzúa.

After a well-deserved rest and a nutritious breakfast, we set off on a 19 km journey. From Arzúa to Santiago, there is a distance of 40 km, so it is advisable to divide this route into two, stopping in Santa Irene, Rúa, or O Pedrouzo. This section is not difficult and can be covered in approximately 4 hours. Santa Irene offers hostels, Rúa has bars, pensions, and rural houses, and O Pedrouzo provides all necessary services. The last 2 km from Rúa to O Pedrouzo are walked on the N-547 asphalt road.
