We know how important hotels are on your trip. The hotels have been selected taking into consideration quality, price and location. They are located in the cities we visit, most of them not in the city center but all of them with easy access to public transportation nearby. Our accommodation is not based on luxury hotels. Please keep in mind that standards, bed sizes and room dimensions can vary between hotels of the same class in different locations. All rooms are equipped with private bathroom and TV. Some of them also offer a mini-bar, safe box, and hair dryer. Many hotels, mainly in North Europe, do not have air conditioning or local legislation establishes limited dates of use.

Welcome to Catalonia! We start our journey heading north to the historic city of Gerona, where you can explore medieval buildings and the impressive Cathedral of Santa María. We then proceed to the medieval town of Besalú, where you can enjoy lunch and explore its fortified stone bridge and castle. Our journey continues to the charming coastal town of Colliure in French Catalonia, known for its beach, port, and impressive castle. We end the day in Carcassonne, Europe's best walled city. Enjoy a night stroll along the illuminated walls and dine in one of the local restaurants.

Start your day with a guided visit to the impressive County Castle of Carcassonne and its medieval walls. Today we explore Provence. Our first stop is Aix en Provence, the birthplace of painter Paul Cezanne. Enjoy a stroll through its magnificent historic center. We then proceed to Avignon, a walled city on the banks of the Rhône that was once the seat of the Catholic popes. Visit the immense Palace of the Popes and enjoy some free time for lunch. Our next stop is the impressive Roman aqueduct, Pont du Gard, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We end the day in Barcelona, arriving in the evening.
