Cycle Southern Spain - Murcia

After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to Bullas, where your cycling journey begins on the Via Verde del Noroeste. Pedal through serene landscapes, leaving the path to explore the charming hilltop town of Cehegin and its historic quarter. Continue along the River Argos to reach Caravaca de la Cruz, one of the world's five Holy Cities. Here, you'll stay in a beautifully restored 16th-century monastery (or similar), offering a tranquil retreat with modern amenities. Enjoy the peaceful gardens and prepare for the spiritual ambiance of this sacred city.

Today's ride unveils the natural beauty and historical richness surrounding Caravaca. Cycle through landscapes dotted with ancient irrigation channels and elm groves, visiting sites with remnants of Paleolithic, Iberian, Roman, and Medieval settlements. Ascend to the Celtiberian village of Archivel, then follow a marked route through quaint villages to La Encarnación. The final stretch leads you back to Caravaca along an unpaved track. In the evening, join locals for a leisurely stroll in Plaza del Arco or opt for a taxi ride to a local restaurant known for its craft beers.
