We'll start the day with a visit to the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis, once the ruling centre of the Roman province of Mauritania. From there, we'll journey to Fes, the heart of old Morocco. Upon arrival, we'll check into our traditional Moroccan riad, a charming guesthouse with ornate tiles and leafy courtyards.

Today, we'll explore the city of Fes with a local guide. Wander through the 9,000 narrow cobbled streets of Fes el-Bali, lined with spices, food stalls, and tanneries. Visit a local tannery, enjoy Moroccan tapas at the Ruined Garden, or hike up Mount Zalagh for a panoramic view of the city. In the evening, try a camel burger or chicken couscous at Café Clock.
