Accommodation on a half board basis (evening meal and breakfast) on 3 nights, the last 4 nights are bed & breakfast only. The hotels described are our usual choice of accommodation, however if these are not available then alternatives are used and if these are of a different standard you will be informed at the time of booking. Baths/showers: Many rooms with ensuite/private facilities have a shower rather than a bath, usually because of limited space. Some hotels/guesthouses may however have a separate room in the house where a bath is available to guests.

Day 1 – Day 1: Arrival in Majorca

Begin your journey in the beautiful city of Majorca. Your first stop is the revered Santuari de Lluc monastery, a 13th-century pilgrimage site nestled amidst high mountains. Attend the enchanting choral singing at the monastery church in the evening. Your accommodation for the first three nights is in well-furnished rooms within the monastery premises. Enjoy a peaceful night's sleep, with the monastery clock falling silent after 10pm. Savor distinctively Mallorcan cuisine with international overtones at a nearby restaurant.

Day 3 offers a variety of walking options depending on the weather. You can choose to ascend Massanella, the island's second highest peak, explore the lush Es Bosc Gran, or take a bus to the charming village of Caimari and return on foot via the ancient pilgrim's trail. For the adventurous, the challenging Puig Tomir offers some terrific views.

On day 4, you and your luggage are transferred from Lluc to the scenic coastal inlet of Cuala Tuent. Enjoy a walk on the coastal footpath to Sa Costera and beyond, before turning inland through olive groves to Mirador de ses Barques. From here, take an afternoon bus to the charming town of Soller. Your accommodation for the next two nights is a recently renovated 19th-century hotel, just steps away from the main square.

Day 5 is dedicated to a full day's walk along a section of the 16th-century Pilgrims' Trail. Starting from Soller, walk to the small village of Biniaraix, from where the trail climbs steadily to the Mirador del Ofre and Es Cornadors, offering a panoramic view over the valley of Soller. Retrace your steps down the Pilgrims' Way, over Soller and its port.

Day 6 offers a variety of options before your afternoon transfer to Valldemossa. Enjoy a boat trip along the coast to the beautiful beach of Sa Calobra, take a scenic train ride to Palma and back, visit the fossil museum and botanic gardens at Soller, or walk to the picturesque village of Deia. Your accommodation for the next two nights is a 3-star hotel in the flower-bedecked village of Valldemossa.

The final day of the tour features one of Mallorca's most celebrated walks, the Camí de s'Arxiduc. This path, constructed in the 19th century for the Archduke Ludwig of Austria, offers splendid views and historical interest. The walk zigzags up the Cairats Valley, winds around the stunning coastline above Deia, and descends to Valldemossa through a wooded gully.
