Awesome tour! My wife, son (who is studying in Barcelona), and I did the tour with Ariana. Starting at the Santa Caterina market, she dove into the history and culture with a fantastic start tasting cava and other local treats. From there, we had a wonderful walking tour of the El Born and Barceloneta. It was clear that the shop owners liked her and along the way she passed along some fabulous insights. You finish with Paella - so make sure you come hungry to this tour!!

When visiting new places one of the activities we enjoy is a food walking tour. The Devour - Tastes & Traditions of Barcelona Food was excellent and fully recommended. These tours are made successful by the leader, Vera, in our case was superb. Her knowledge of food and local history, venues visited and her personality made it a memorable occasion. The variety of food and drink, interspersed with places and history made for an enjoyable and instructional time.

Our Tastes and Traditions Food Tour was a very enjoyable experience. Alex, our guide with Devour Tours, was friendly, knowledgeable, and very considerate of my three grandkids (ages 13, 12, and 10). It was interesting to learn more about the historical background that created Barcelona’s reputation for fine food. We started the tour at Mercado de Santa Caterina with a cheese and meat platter with cava and then visited several family-owned shops and cafes. Along the way, we enjoyed baked goods, sweets, olives, bomba with meat & vermouth, and more. According to Alex, we also got to sample the best croissant in Spain paired with horchata (milk with ground and sweetened tiger nuts). The tour took us through several neighborhoods as we learned about the local food traditions, and it showed us places and let us taste things that we would probably never see or taste on our own. At our last stop, we finished the tour with paella and wine at an indoor café The grandkids had a great time, and I would recommend doing this food tour when you visit Barcelona. Thank you, Alex. This was our second visit to Barcelona. The last time we took the Tapas and Wine Tour with Devour Tours, which was also fun and interesting.
