Private Exclusive VIP Tour of Positano & Sorrento from Naples - Shore excursion

Booking a tour with Roberto and his team for a day tour of Sorrento and Positano was amazing! Annamaria, our tour guide, was there to meet us once we got off of our cruise ship and show us all of the great sites and history about the Amalfi coast. We had some free time at Positano and Sorrento to see most of the sites and also enjoy the history of the town. It was a great day trip that wouldn't be possible if it wasn't for Roberto and his team.

We got back to the ship with plenty of time before our Cruise ship left and highly recommend this tour! It was one of the highlights from our trip!

We had a great tour with a fabulous guide, Annamaria! She was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. We tour a lot and she is one of the best we’ve ever had.

This was a great tour! And the driver of our tour was equally as great (I can't believe I forgot his name.) Seeing him drive through the scary roads overlooking the cliffs with such ease and security was welcoming. The driver really made this tour great for us because we could just sit back and enjoy the breathtaking views while he safely got us to the two lovely cities we got to visit. I highly, highly recommend this tour as it was awesome!

We highly recommend Touring Italy! We first met Roberto in 2018 when we were in Italy on a cruise, he was our guide for a tour of Positano and Sorrento from the port of Naples. We saved his business card and when we were planning our return to Italy we knew we had to call on him. Roberto’s professionalism is only eclipsed by his warmth and kindness. I recently went to Rome and split my trip up with two nights in Sorrento. I used Roberto’s travel service to book transfers upon arrival in Rome and for my transfers in Naples to Sorrento. Once at Naples we went on a private tour of Almafi coast and drove through Positano. On my last day out we did a quick tour of the center of Naples and boardwalk area. He is very prompt in responding when coordinating travel. He is very knowledgeable about the area and we appreciated the private experience during these times.

One of the best moves we made on our cruise to the Greek Islands and the Amalfi Coast was coming across the review on Roberto! None of the great reviews were exaggerated! Roberto was at the port in Naples waiting. Our 2 friends who were travelling with us had never been to Italy and wanted to see Pompeii. Roberto arranged to have them drive with us to Pompeii, and he arranged a guide to take them and then drive them back to the port, which was definitely appreciated! Then we proceeded to Sorrento and Positano, which were magnificent! He brought us to a fantastic place for lunch and was one of the best guides we encountered throughout our trip. I would HIGHLY recommend Roberto and would not hesitate to have him guide us through any part of Italy on our return!

The Almalfi coast has been on my bucket list for years. We booked Touring Italy and were picked up by Roberto D’Alessandro at the port. Six of us jumped into a Mercedes Van and were off. Roberto explained a few options, and we agreed to see Positano and Sorrento. We were updated on traffic conditions, and were given other options if the traffic got too heavy.

We stopped to have a limoncello on the way. We arrived in Positano and pictures do not do it justice. It was absolutely stunning. We were left alone downtown to explore and later traveled to Sorrento. Sorrento is a beautiful town with a different vibe then Positano but equally beautiful. Again we were left alone to tour.

Our last stop was a farm near Sorrento, where we had a delicious meal with a view of the water up on the mountain. We were explained how they make cheese, and had home made wine,appetizer, pasta, dessert, and limoncello to finish.

Our tour guide was incredible, and I felt I had known him my entire life. He was very personable and knowledgeable. Roberto we are still raving about your tour to friends and family. Your the Best! Thanks again for making our vacation so memorable.

This review is months overdue, but I am back on Trip Advisor looking for my next adventure and feel I owe it to my fellow travelers to write this review.

I planned a week trip to Rome for the 2018 Thanksgiving break. As an excursion, I wanted to take my 25-year-old daughter on a day trip from Naples to Positano to get sandals made and stop in Sorrento for Limoncello but all the tours I saw had a stop in Pompeii which is not what I wanted to do.

I looked in to taking a bus and doing the trip, but the bus ride sounded long and slow. I thought about hiring a private driver but that seemed too costly. I searched everywhere and wasn’t finding what I wanted. I then hoped on Cruise Critic and was looking at their recommended excursions and that’s when I ran across Touring Italy.

I sent an email to the touringitaly.org@gmail.com account and explained what I was looking for. I received a prompt and courteous email from the owner of the company, Roberto D'Alessandro, with his recommendation for a private day tour with the stops we wanted. The price was reasonable and the reviews I saw were very good, so I crossed my fingers and booked the tour.

I received numerous emails from Roberto following up with me on where to meet and reminding me of the trip. Whenever I had questions, he was very quick to reply.

When we got off the train at Naples, Roberto was there waiting for us with a sign with our name. He was not what I expected. I guess due to the email exchange, I expected an older Italian man, but Roberto was a fresh faced, respectful young man in his late 20s. He put my daughter and I at ease at once.

Roberto stopped at great spots to take photos, roadside shops we were interested in, and answered all our questions. He never once made us feel rushed. He provided great recommendations for lunch and we picked a quaint authentic lunch spot with amazing food. We asked Roberto to join us at our table and we shared the different dishes with one another so we could all experience the different items.

Positano and Sorrento were beautiful. Since this was the off season the streets weren’t crowded but there was still plenty of shops open. Roberto dropped us off at both locations and we agreed on where to meet when we were done. We ran over time in Sorrento, but I called him and explained we were running 15 minutes late and he was very understanding.

This day excursion was the best part of our week-long trip to Italy. Roberto made us feel like family and I know with his skills in tour directing, he is going to go far.

It was beautiful to sit back and enjoy the scenery. Roberto was a great guide through this area and one of my favorites of our trip. The farm to table restaurant was fabulous!

Everything was well organized, Roberto answered all our questions and showed us great photospots! You'll have enough free time to explore the cities on your own.
